The way the two layers of the midsole is bonded looks a bit faulty or cheap. What a shame, as a dane I absolutely love the quality of Saysky, but if I got something that looks like that in through the door I would be disapointed.

Excellent review, Loyd! Been enjoying mine and 4T2 has terrific customer service. Wanted to like it and I do. It’s a solid trainer for easy to moderate trails where extra weight is desired. The tongue tends to slide down, which is irritating but not a fatal flaw (and which should be corrected in future editions). Good for casual wear too!

Always interesting to see a brand new shoe being tested! I like the colorway of this shoe and while it's a bit on the heavy side I don't mind if it delivers on what it's designed for. The quality of the shoe might be an issue, not sure, but the way the midsole is bonded together looked a bit faulty perhaps?

A great review as always! Personally I don't mind a firmer midsole on the trails if it has some flexibility. The problem I have with this shoe is the price tag and the weight, because there are other options that have similar design elements at a lighter and cheaper package.

I’ve tried the 4T2 weekdays and Sundays models, and yes, they are extremely narrow but long. It’s not an ideal shape; therefore, although they are long, I would advise going true to size for anything over 10 km. The outsole is the same as the NNormal Tomir 1 - what is great.

I personally think they’d be a bit heavy for that type of racing. Something like Merrell’s Long Sky 2 or INOV8’s MUDTALON Speed would be a better option 👍🙂

Being saysky my guess was £200 , looks a good sturdy shoe .. I would avoid the Tehidy woods north cliffs carpark during the quiet winter months several car break ins the last couple of years

I’d say there are complete opposites compared to an Altra Lone peak! Like I said in the video, the toe box is quite narrow, where as all Altra shoes have a lot of width in the toe. A Lone Peak is zero drop where as these have a 6mm drop. Also the SAYSKY shoes are heavier and stiffer in the midfoot compare to the Lone Peak! So you can see, nothing like each other 🙂

They look great, but I'm struggling to see how these are any better than the original Nike Pegasus with the waffle sole from 40+ years ago.

Nike Pegasus with a waffle outsole!? The Pegasus were road running shoes and these are a trail shoes, so completely different! Also, the Vibram megagrip rubber is brilliant on wet rocky trail whereas Nike outsole rubber can be pretty slippery in wet conditions. A part from that they’re exactly the same shoes 🤷‍♂️

Interesting that you chose to do first impression video number 41 on the brand 4T2.... couldn't you have held it over for one more video so that 4T2 was video number 42? It may sound superstitious but I did my first marathon (42km) on my 42nd birthday 😂

I have a pair of these. Not the Saysky collab but a different colorway. Very firm and very spartan. I like it to mix things up but it’s not my go to shoe. That would be the Prodigio. My only real big complaint is the price. $200 for a relatively simple shoe is way too much, thankfully they run 20% off coupons often. Also, your huge weight difference made me weigh my pair. 346.5 vs 345.2 grams for US 9 or EU 42.5

I totally agree, it is expensive for what is a pretty straight forward trail shoe? I think the price comes down to buying power, they’re only a small brand so they wouldn’t have produced large numbers and that always makes it more expensive. Interesting to know that your shoe weight’s were a lot closer 🤔

@@Run4Adventure Yea, not sure why my weight is fine. Maybe you just got a lemon? I've run in every shoe 4T2 has made so far. I think the Sunday model is by far their best shoe. It is still a pretty straight forward shoe but is soft enough it can be used for everything. I like the brand and ethos and the owner Jurian is easy to get in contact with which is really cool, hopefully they can lower the price and soften up the foam just a bit.

Yo Lloyd, I like most of the features of the shoe, besides the hideous clown colors. Also, I'm fine with the shoe weight, but NOT the 20 gram difference. What's up with that? 😁 There must be an optical illusion going on with those colors across the internet, cause from here, the toe box does NOT look narrow. I have super narrow feet, but DEMAND a wide toe box. I'm just wondering if the feel of narrowness is cause you didn't get your original shoe size. I have two pairs of shoes which are the same exact model in a half size difference and the difference in toe box with is tremendously different. Anyway. Thanx for the video my Running Brother 👍⚔✝🇺🇸

The narrowness is nothing to do with the size, it’s just a narrow toe box. They actually size long so I had plenty of run in the toe box but they still felt quite narrow and I haven’t got a wide foot 👍 Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 🙂

Only available up to Uk size 11, totally useless to me at size 12... then again it would weigh nearly half a kilo in my size, so may as well run in hiking boots or wellies instead? 😂

That gluing of the two rubberparts of the midsole..., looks... not quality inspiring. Otherwise I like the design and colourway, but due to that crazy narrow design, they will not replace my Topo's.

Way to heavy and yet another shoe with a ridiculous price tag. You can easily find a better shoe for half the price. I like the split tongue that's clever and normally very comfortable. Design and build looks very cheap and not interesting at all and since you say its narrow definitely not a shoe for my feet
