She also has some guest appearances in certain albums, though I don't believe this is one of them. It's the sound of a bullroarer.

@@Terrierized actually, the 'bullroarer' was a "tschuringa" (different spellings), a sacred object made of wood or stone, with secret symbols edge in it. It's said that people with minor initiations stood away from the sound of the tchuringa (and the ceremony).
