I was a foster mother to around 200 of Portlands most challenging teen girls in about 30 years. We had kitties, dogs, horses, goats and lots of love. We were a family. This was my passion, my ministry. Healing broken hearts. ❤ I saw a lot of sad things and cried with some of the stories I heard. But kelp loving my girls unconditionally. Wrote a book about my crazy prayers and how God used me to heal broken hearts... it's loving relationships that bring healing in out lives...ultimately the love of God.

@ least GOD heard you, some of us r Forgotten & Discarded like Trash & 4gotten n the System like we r nothing...Then we age out & Judged by every1 & We fail @ everything, We r left alone & after awhile u begin to feel maybe ur a Mistake & We get older & we begin 2 feel we r going 2 die alone with not ever being Important..All we have is Heartache & we prY n Pray n Pray & it seems GOD never Hears us..Love 2 me Means Nothing,I feel im a Mistake, but I still have a Good Heart & Kindness n my Soul
❤❤❤❤❤... God bless ur kind heart!! God be praised!

Really good movie. Foster care should be a safe place for kids, but often is not. Nice that movies are made showing how our system is broken. Maybe things will change.... 😢

My mom and 6 others were separated, they experienced very difficult times with foster parents mom was raped and abused. Her brothers joined the navy as soon as they could her sisters all were placed in other fosters, They did unite later in life. I never knew my Father. Mom had me at fifteen. Had no help and managed to keep me and remarried a very good dad. Much more to the story, but it was awful time for mom and siblings. Fosters get paid and government wants kids placed. Kids always run away, a few get lucky.

I am very sorry for what happened to you. It's definitely not a perfect system. In our small town we have a program called safe families that works to keep children from going into foster care. Many of the churches are helping to support it. I've seen a lot over the years, good and not so good. Thanks for sharing ,

I was going to watch this movie, then I remembered what Schneider just said about Beyonce'. Am not a Beyonce" fan, but I respect her. Am not surprised by what he said considering he drove around in a car with a confederate flag painted on it. He obviously don't know the origins of country music.

My Bother and I were in foster care and he died due to neglect. His prev ious foster home was so abusive and they starved him. My half sister was beaten in hers. I was abused in mine. Foster care system is rigged. No one to turn to when being abused in their care. They protect abusers aswell as incompentant workers.
