Just looked at Reddit and saw a bunch of people talking shit about Teenage Engineering, and then this.... The Opzs ability to sequence other stuff is so amazing. Been experimenting with AUM and Ipad apps. Will probably give it a go with Ableton down the road as well. Thanks!
@RDiefenbach3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I have some tuts already on the OP-Z with Ableton if interested but it has even more potential. It is so much easier to talk shit but some of us prefer to make the most of the tools we have and see how far we can push them!

Duuude this sounds so lovely, great jam! 😍 Impressed of all the instruments you bring outside, is this the same river you sat by in one of your summer videos?
@RDiefenbach3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Can't believe I have not dropped or broken anything yet! And, yes this is actually the same river from most of them - just a short walk from my house! However, looks a bit different this time around. ☃️

Very cool stuff man! Impressed by both the music, and also by the courage to get yourself out in the snow with all the equipment! I recently moved back to Sweden and just the idea of jamming outside in the snow is getting me a cold 😅 Great job, both music and video 👏👌

Thanks, Max. Well in Norwegian they say the doorstep is a thousand miles 😅 always hard to get motivated when it is this cold but maybe give it a try! If not there is always indoors haha. And thank you for the kind words :)

@@RDiefenbach Oh, Norway - cool! Yeah here we also have the saying "there's no bad weather, only bad clothing", which is true I guess :) Definitely got inspired to bring a machine or two out for jam 😊🙌

I looped the guitar chords it in Ableton after the fact! Everything else is done in the moment

I love your setup. Great results, too. I'm a bassist who also has a pack of small synths wrangled by an OP-Z, and I'm wondering how you mounted your OP-Z to the guitar. The videography is also really lovely; I like that you record "out in the wild" so much.
@RDiefenbach3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I attached it to the Bigsby whammy bar with tape but am looking into a better, more detachable rig. Maybe some kind of elastic bands but takes time to experiment and do research. And thanks I feel I get 'in the zone' in the most when recording in nature and it helps me escape :)
@melobit61373 жыл бұрын
I would really like to try this as I play guitar and planning to get op-z so awesome. P.S do you need sound recorder to be able to hear guitar trough op-z?
@RDiefenbach3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I am using two recordings here. One is the guitar into my sound recorder and the other is Ableton, sequenced by the OP-Z. If you want to run and hear your guitar through the OP-Z (and use FX) you will need an in/out device like an iRig or the one made by DigdugDIY I believe. I have some other vids on the FX and input for external audio via the OP-Z but unfortunately don't have anything explaining the in/out devices personally!
@asublimationpoint723 жыл бұрын
What engine are you using to get that stuttering on the OPZ? I have never been able to get that sound on my OPZ! Great stuff!
@RDiefenbach3 жыл бұрын
Hi ! Thanks ! Unfortunately it's not an internal OP-Z sound. The Z tracks are each individually sequencing synths in Ableton live. There's a small explantion in the description and some tutorials on this on my channel

Sounds great! I feel bad for your equipment, though. The moisture and cold are terrible for wood and electronics.
