Why were the trains black and yellow? Black and yellow were the main colors for the Alaska Railroad.

So for those of you from Alaska concerned about Geography with this movie, suppose the train depot is that place in Anchorage near Ship Creek just before Government Hill and their escape near Seward. Sure as heck not going to Canada!

Your addition of an electric train was a dud idea. Why mess with a film that is a masterpiece? It would be better to do that with an ordinary Hollywood film that is already idiotic. The director of this film was Konchalovsky, a Russian. They make some really weighty films that seem ordinary until the heavy stuff sinks in, like this one.
