Why can't all v-brake KZbin videos be this good? Every other video seemed to mention loads of stuff that made no difference like disconnecting the cables etc yet I followed your advice and 30 seconds later with a few turns of a screw and one of my blocks is no longer rubbing on the rim. 😎 Thank-you. 😊

Excellent! Dude, that was perfect. I fought and cursed my stupid brakes for 30min yesterday trying to fix before my ride. I'd been riding with one side rubbing and causing me to work twice as hard. Tried adjusting but I did was loosen the hell out of the whole front brake to the point it was near useless. Your video saved me a mountain of stress. Thanks again.🔥

This video may be older but it came in Sooo handy I just got a new bike online had to build it out of the box and first thing I noticed after putting the front wheel on was this exact issue, every other how to fix issue made me start with the quick release, then undo the brake pads themselves and put it all back but finally got the answer I needed thanks to your video and just have to adjust those little screws , thank you!

Thank you for your video, I can’t tell you what a difference this has made to my bike, I was given this bike months ago and I was finding it hard to cycle and it put me off this bike, which was a shame as I quite liked the look of it, I discovered today that incredibly I have had one side of my front brake constantly rubbing against the wheel making cycling this bike awful. When I discovered what was actually happening I was at a complete loss on how to fix this, of course having watched your video I have now fixed the problem. I really just want to say a big thank you, from an old man who learnt a new trick😊

Thank you!! I haven't been on a bike in forty years. I traveled a few miles on a bike path two days ago with my new bike, and the whole way back, my brake was catching and come to find out it was also rubbing on the tire itself. With this simple explanation, I set my brakes perfectly!!! I can't thank you enough!! ❤

I just changed out the pads on my bike's rear brakes (front brake is a disc type), and ran into this problem. The linear / "V" brakes seem much easier to work with than the "caliper" types I remember fighting with on older bikes our family has owned, so I'm impressed.

Thank you for doing just that one correction, and I like how you displayed evrything... real nice to see this in action, especially since I havn't seen anyone give any simple rule of thumb on how to what is happening. What's tightening & what's loosening the screw, as well as why it's for the part that it's for???? I keep wondering who even designed this, and then there is the new tech that's entirely different now, but then there is so many models of the same tech we already have. UHG...lol Thank YOU!

the best way is to make sure the arms of the brakes are more straight upwards ,these look too far apart. Then if the gap is too much on one side add a couple of washers before you start to adjust the screws.
