Was a big fan of RUN DMC back in the day. Even got to see them at UMASS in 1987 when this video was making the rounds of MTV. The funny thing is, I never saw it. Back then you had to live in certain places to get cable tv and have access to MTV. I wasn't so lucky. Watching it now for the first time and seeing the elf pushing buttons on a repurposed Simon memory game and Santa driving a sleigh with a Cadillac emblem. It certainly captured a slice of those times.

Run DMC came with my first car....1966 Black GTO and the sound system was out of this world...buttons and thumpers like a computer to me! And they were also part of my halftime dance as a white cheerleader at school and I was the minority....my roots baby....where I learned how to play basketball too....what? What? Our HS girls won the state championship that year with six or seven players. I never sat on the bench.....GLORY DAYS.....THANK YOU for being a part of my journey!!! ❤️❤️❤️
