Honestly, I didn't think this game (this my 1st Rune Factory game) would be so big on the story. This boss fight was pretty intense! Even though you where kinda supposed to win and lose at certain points in the fight, it was just down right awesome the entire way through.

The best part is that you can technically win the parts you're supposed to lose and are able to skip whole sections of the fight :D

Iris Noire's battle theme from Rune Factory Frontier. It's actually kind of funny in retrospect. Amazingly, it still suits Ethelberd.

You've done a wonderful service providing tracks from the game, as well as all the vids dedicated to it. This is hands down probably my favorite track in the whole OST, probably only to tie with Idra Cave's theme. They both give me a really Kingdom Hearts kind of feel, and it's appropriate in all the right ways. But anyway, sincere thank you for all your hard work.

Well, what can be said? RF4 is the youngest child (before RF5 came along), it took a lot from RF3 too, especially on mechanic's part, and a few BGM.

When I first played this game on the 3DS, having already beaten all of the other games, it came as a complete shock to me that you get to fight Ethelberd's human form. Rune Factory always stayed shy from having you fight other humans, save for the console versions were you get to duel one human-like character in each one (two in Rune Factory Frontier as you get to fight both Iris Noire and Brodik). In Rune Factory 4 you don't even get to fight normal mook soldiers in the game after the prologue, even in Sechs Territory or the Flying Fortress were should have been hundreds of them. Having already seen Ethelberd in Rune Factory 1, I thought him to be too wimpy to fight head on without transforming. Then he proceeds to hand me my underprepared ass.

Oh man... I remember how much of a bitch Ethelbert was to kill =_=*. Had to restart 3 freaking times before finally beating him. But the ending was oh so worth it. And the music for this fight is probably one of the things that kept me going

Ethelberd, hard? Only his annoying teleporting posed a problem. Although he and his later counterpart (future boss self) have that "one" attack that is sooo painfully strong.

And most likely will...I'm just glad the stages of the boss are no-lose situations cus I don't think I could've kept on with the stuff I had if the fight got harder lol

+Rax Xeronos The problem with that AoE attack of his is that it pulls you in once it's unleashed... Yes that's right, it PULLS YOU INTO THE VORTEX OF DEATH. Well, in both scenarios that you face him, Ethelberd is the Arc 2 Final Boss and Ragnarock is the Arc 3 Final Boss, makes sense that the two are the hardest you have to defeat. But there are some very hard bosses before him... G Golem: Yes, harder than the previous version. It takes 80% less damage from all Physical Attacks and all Physical Damage meaning that only Magical Damage can really harm it. Oh and it's ramming attack prevents you from escaping even with Steel Heart active and will essentially KO you. The Earth Spikes will track you down and Auto-Stun (won't Stun you at all if you have Steel Heart on) if they connect while the Rocket Punch isn't that bad (it does hurt). Dead Tree 2: Only pain is once you get it low on HP where it will start regenerating HP over time. Earth Spikes (which Auto-Stun unless you activated Steel Heart) and follow you followed by a constant rain of Fruit builds up damage fast. Death Wall: Only that painful Drill Attack which OHKOs you once it connects. Otherwise KOing it before you run out of time isn't that hard. Elemental Fairies: Harder than the previous 3 bosses I listed above...only because I can't KO one of them without the other 3 KOing me first unless I can predict their moves. Elemental Earth will use Earth Spikes (Auto-Stun [not with Steel Heart on] but not track), Elemental Wind will use Multi-Air Magic attacks that attack in an arc in front of her, Elemental Fire and Elemental Water will use AoEs that will knock you down if you get hit.
