I love this game. They took all the good points from each of the earlier ones and made them all better in one new game. (Rune Factory 3 was too easy, but I like how they brought back the old Rune Factory 1 relatiobship progression rate, and let you pick between Baby, Normal, and Dark Souls difficulty)

When you go back into the boss room, you'll be able to fight them again which allows you to not only get boss items but exp

For anyone who finds this later but still struggles: your stats are mostly influenced by your skill levels and not overall level. So farming a bunch of crops will help you survive as it increases your stats. Also equipment is king.

Love this game. Ever since I beat it, anytime I start a new game I choose to be a girl but then immediately change my character's sprite to Lest because he is one of the cutest male protagonists in video games... EVER. This game is fantastic on so many levels, it really is. The farming is okay, it's hard to make money until you unlock pineapple seeds but after that it's fine. Love the dungeon crawling, and fists are currently my favorite weapon type. I hate that if you leave town through the main gates after you save Venti the first time it triggers the second arc which immediately takes her out of commission again (thank god for the airship). AND THE ROMANCE. HOLY CRAP. Dated Vishnal first because who wouldn't want to date Vic Mignogna, then moved onto Dylas (shy bby he is) and then Arthur. And now i'm currently dating Leon who I feel is really the bachelor that they wanted Frey to be with. He has so much character depth and sorrow behind that cocky grin. Definitely love this game even more than I loved Story of Seasons, and I'd rank that in my top 10 games.

Xseed mentioned they were looking for a way to keep the series ongoing so i'm just crossing my fingers wishing RF5 (which was cancelled after being greenlight because of Neverland bankrupcy) comes out for the Switch. Yes, the lead producer wasn't picked up by Xseed but the rest of the dev team does and they own the copyright to create a new RF or start building RF5 again.

I played Rf2 (Not full finished) and Rf3 i n my opinion (outside Rf4) is the story line of 2 better than 3, but the crafting, forging, cooking in 3 is a lot easier

I wonder what happened to the project this team was initially working after they went bankrupt and announced the end of Rune Factory....... it was called, like, Mana Stone, or something?? It was supposed to be fairly similar to RF and I was super interested in it. But after talking about it Once they never spoke of it again, and we didn't really hear about the team again until the re-release of RF4 and then RF5 getting announced........ they probably abandoned the project, but I'm curious what happened exactly.
