Imo the rune system, other than the fact we got only part of it and the rest is gonna roll out slowly. First, having runes locked to a specific slot is a very bad idea it'd have been far better to have them untied to slots like legendary gems are so you could actually build with them. This tho depends on what the stats and the effects of higher runes are gonna be, which we don't have yet... still it'd have been better to have runes work like legendary gems so you could actually build with them. Second thing is they are a nightmare to handle with the armory particularly now that they are new and every time you swap one you need to manually update every single loadout you have... kind of a hassle tbh

It was changed in patch. It doesn't knock up anymore. You have to use it when an enemy is hit airborne then you will dash to them and unleash strikes while untargetable

Correct. I had a very high % chance getting an essence in Abyssal verge when I ran in a group with a score of 1400+ (got one almost every single run). In Ebberan I had a very low % chance of essence but could just be my luck, I stopped running them

Honestly... I just feel like the immortal devs don't think certain updates all the way thru... for example - the new runes... I'd have to agree with the previous comment... the game could function perfectly fine without the runes... so yeah, trasshhh... even when you socket them to whatever piece of gear... if nobody told u they equipped those runes Id highly doubt anyone would even notice... arrrggghh Diablo... Aaarrrggghhh I say!!!

I mean what do the developers actually do when they come up with ideas and test them? What is the measure of success? Or is it just releasing content for the sake of it? Terror Rifts a flop. Runes a flop. Market update a flop. Now you can't sell anything on market place and is easier to just transfer orbs to plat. All we ask is that updates are tested and that players actually benefit from them.

Thank you! Indeed it's a really fun mode to run with friends to try and beat your PB score or Group best. In the first 2 days since release leg drops were insane too felt like you could get 2 or 3 legs consistently for every completed run. Now we just need them to make rarer runes obtainable for abyssal essence turn-ins! 🙏

Two new modes droped a lot of legendary in friday. On saturday drop dissapere xD and more rune I droped near challenge rift portal- where you used crest for drop gems. On 15 runs 3 rune drop

Yeah, that's the good thing of these modes compared to terror rifts. They are always open rather than the rigid timing of Trifts! The legendary item drops in Abyssal verge were really good to begin with when the patch first hit. Now it looks like it has been tuned down but I think there are more things in store for these 2 modes. Could just be hopium though 😅

As it stands right now I'm inclined to agree. Currently the huge problem is there is no real chase or grind for better runes and markets are starting to get saturated already. I could see it potentially improving as new runes are added but we have already been let down a few times with other new systems introduced so I'm cautiously optimistic. Just have to wait and see..

They always seem to have the goal of slowing down grinders and making sure some people don't get too far ahead. I can understand why. It is a mobile game at the end of the day and they want it to feel accessible for anyone to catch up. But it feels like they are taking this too far with artificial caps, complicated for no reason systems and limitations on every new feature. I feel like this is becoming frustrating for both grinders and more casual players alike

Tbh, i like diablo’s universe, i was madly in love with DI and it’s play wherever whenever(fits my agenda). 2 years later, the company made MILLION$$$$, still having same bugs, still having same shadow contracts, etc. Updates are making things worse and the greed is showing more and more, they could have easily made 4 full expansions,(new regions, new quests, new pvp/maps, etc.). Now we came to a point where our peacefull competitive server is getting merged with the top whale cluster server in this game…. It is dying(my love is). Nice vid keep up the great work!

I was getting 2 abyssal essence a run of the Erebban in about 2 minutes a run. Movement speed build & ignore mobs.

This is the comment I wrote to share this video with my clan: This is the most thorough guide on runes I’ve watched yet. However, just like with gear, I’d personally prioritize the magic attribute over the base attribute. The highest “quality” runes aren’t necessarily the best for your character and your gaming preferences. If you’re pve focused, I recommend focusing on the runes with some dps buff (attack speed is the most powerful among the initial set). If you’re PvP focused, most of them could be useful, depending on what you want to go for.

Agreed. The runes we currently have don't leave us with much choice though 🥲 Most (not all) of the 3% base runes have less useful effects compared to their 4% counterparts. Of course this should change in the future and allow us to make more meaningful choices based on what's important for the build/class

Devs should make it to where those of us who have left over OG rift runes that weren't enough to convert over to AST runes, to be instantly changed into the new runes. I mean... they share the same rune names. Plus, it would make useful something in our Inventory bag that's just been taking up pixel space with no use for a long time.

Hard to give you a concrete answer. But as a general rule of thumb you want to have Crit Chance on damage slots (Mainhands, Offhands, Helmet & Shoulders) and Beneficial effect duration on Life slots (Chest, Pants). Personally I don't prioritise Skill damage % but it is still a decent stat depending on what other items you have

Mao, the rune is at the lowest level now. Do you think it will require upgrade to legendary soon?

It is hard to say how often they are planning to introduce new runes. Right now the highest rune we have is BOL at Paragon(100). In 7 days we can see at least 1 new rune will be added to the game (ENT). This will likely be the Paragon(110) rune. Personally I think that releasing only 1 rune every 10 days would be too slow as a release schedule so it could be possible that they also decide to roll out more runes at once but this is just my speculation If we assume the information shown in the old patch notes is correct which is a big IF... Then take a look at 15:42 you will notice that the Rare rune URS which is highlighted in the synthesis menu is at Paragon(170). We can also assume that Paragon(160)-Paragon(190) are all rare runes from looking at this menu. At this point we are not sure if Legendary runes are drop-only or able to be synthesised or both but we can guess that the minimum level for them will be at least Paragon(200) but it can be even higher. Giving a timeframe for when we can expect these in the game, well your guess is as good as mine! If we assume a release of 1 rune every 10 days and P(200) as the lowest level Legendary rune. That would make it 14 weeks before we see our first legendary rune but this feels too long! I normally don't like to make content that is based on 100% pure speculation but I do expect we will have a fair bit more information about this system in the upcoming patch notes
