Each imp defender can only steal 1 impling per server update/reset. I would love to see what you can do with this, but with the number of puro-puro bots out there I bet it'll be more tedious than you give it credit for.

yeah i dont really see this being broken at all, especially as the more interest in this means it becomes harder to find a defender to use coz as you say theres only a limited amount per world per reset, and a lot of the time bots and other players in puro-puro use up the defenders, bro made it sound like he found a cheatcode to amass hundreds or thousands of lucky implings in no time but the reality is youd probs only get like 5 or so a week with this method assuming you can find someone who has the implings to sell in the first place

One issue I can see immediately is, that this seems to be hotfixable very easily. they just have to add a condition, that lucky implings released by defenders can only be cought by the one player, who originally owned it.

You make that sound easy as if they just need to add a line of code that says "if owner == original owner, then catch", but knowing how much spaghetti runescape is built on it might just be very difficult to assign an original owner to an entity released by another entity. Could be that they just scrap the whole imp defender mechanic instead.

if you really think about it it's not that big of a deal. the guys that have stacks of these are going to be so few and far between that they can name their price. also if you have an account that can catch these then you earned it so it doesnt matter if you trade them off to your other accounts. you did earn the impling.

I don't think Jagex is going to fix this yet. It doesn't really change anything in the offer / demand, other than incentify people to go and hunt lucky implings. So slightly more will be caught. But they are already incredebily rare. So it's likely that the ones that do spawn get caught anyway. Only when a full group will go rendi and crack the lucky force spawn, this will become an issue. I believe it's not a flat 1/301 chance in the overworld, but you actually have to catch the dragon impling to trigger a lucky spawn. Which will spawn and wander as a null object for quite a while. So it's going to be a niche method anyway

I think the most likely effect of this is that less Lucky's will be OPENED. They will instead be sold to "mega-collectors" via regular collectors. I think we will see a agglomeration of Lucky Implings amongst the 0.1% of collectors

Lol, with the previous video, I thought that XP boost bug wouldn't get fixed, as the XP rates are similar to proper hunter methods (although less convenient for a normal account). Main account cloggers would never buy lucky implings though. It gives one singular roll over every clue drop table, whereas a master clue will give 6+ rolls entirely on the master clue table at a fraction of the price and without the RNG requirement or time limitation of 'the first couple of hours after a game update'. It's still a cool find, but not at all useful

Doable in small amounts but it's also risky, a bot or other player might snag the imp potentially and the imp defenders can take the imps of the person who's trying to buy, you definitely need to be careful.

I suspect 3 different possibilities from this: 1) This gets patched and they decide to unfuck the imp defenders permanently 2) This doesn't get patched and Fray's discord is about to fill the fuck up lmao 3) This gets patched but Jagex, in their infinite wisdom, decide to only remove this from Imp Defenders and don't try to actually fix the imp defenders at all, and Fray goes down in history as the guy who made Lucky imps tradeable and also got them to be untradeable again. Either way, Fray is winning lmao.

I don't think this is even a bug, let alone something that needs to be fixed. if the imp defenders were working as intended, this is something that would have been discovered a long time ago honestly.
