Runners take over the city for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon

Organizers say a record number of runners took part in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Michelle Mackey is catching up with the athletes, including the winner of the women's half marathon.

My first marathon, finished 3:19:55, 5s faster than my plan. Thanks to that 5s, Now I can tell everyone I did it in 3:19, not 3:20.

Lol when did the Watwrfront Marathon change sponsors? I remember it use to be called the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon. I got my 40hrs of volunteer service from them likely more volunteering at the event for three years from grades 9-11. I guess Scotiabank is not richer than it thinks when purchasing sponsorships for Toronto events. It is like Bell dropping the Tiff sponsorship. I don’t think my banking fees or internet & Fibe TV bills are decreasing because of these moves but I only subscribed to these services likely because of the brand recognition from the original sponsorships. 😂
