Think the fact you both teach full time makes this even more impressive. How you went from a week of work to an allnighter, madeness!

Every race video from Ben and Mary in Thailand seems to emphasis that the Thai's organize many and varied races that are well put together and supported by the community; I wish it was like that here ! Congrats on the achievement Ben.

That was the first thought that came to mind for me as well. Great running community over there

So impactful! I felt like I was running and finishing the 100k with you, especially at the end when you picked up the pace to finish. Thank you for documenting this for us!

What a solid effort and accomplishment Ben! You're spot on when you say that "our bodies and minds are capable of so much more than we realize...at the true limits of what is possible do we find the real version of ourselves."

Absolutely outstanding work from both of you. You are both very inspirational. Congratulations to both of you for your extraordinary effort. The privilege and wonderful benefits of being a runner can only be experienced to truly understand. The journey is certainly worth taking. We earn the right to show up to an event and run through the committed journey of training. Everyone wins. Keep up the great work Ben and Mary.

Ludicrous distance to run! Congratulations on having the mental resilience to get through it. I’d imagine it being laps makes it a whole lot harder than a point to point 100km race. Temptation to throw the towel in on each lap. Oh and post up a link to the playlist. Sounds right up my street.

Congratulations Ben! Such a gutsy performance from both you and Mary! After all the suffering and then a little speed at the end when someone is trying to catch up in the final km, outstanding.

Brilliant stuff. Really impressive from both of you. I have walked 100km in 24 hours. After about 8 hours the sweet stuff just doesn't cut it, you need real food. I am nowhere near running an ultra though!

Oooooh ben, ur are just amazing seriously amazing 🤩 how u managed to keep getting up off that chair (literally!) and going again and again and again I’ll never know, I defo think id rather do a point to point or even one big loop than just keep going around the same loop time and time again, and a flat loop at that - massive congratulations again Ben, ur a true searcher ❤

You’re both nothing but awesomeness! Congrats Ben!!! U rock!!! Not sure I’m ever going to be in the same league as you guys but you have both inspired me to step up to the marathon distance in 2025. Been hanging at the half for too long😂

Thank you very much for yet another great, and as usual, very honest and personal video! It inspires me to continue on my own journey. I've done a 50 km Ultra in August (took me 5 h 50 min) , and I can relate to almost everything that you experienced. Including the pain :D But also that realization that you're capable of much more than you thought possible.

Well done Ben. It takes a lot to beat the mind like that. Everything telling you to quit and you just find a way to keep smashing it. Just a small glimpse of the 90 year old you getting out of the chair with 8k to go though 😂

Somebody is going to be sore for the next couple of days! This is going to take a month to recover from. Interesting how the mind can be focused and clear in such an effort. Probably because it is so relaxed (tired) and all defense systems are down.

Factor in 1 billion degrees Celsius and you’d probably stop too. Even on 50k races I stop at aid stations so I don’t think that’s a bad thing 😊

I think first 42km in 3h34 was WAY TO FAST. At 84km You said "I'm just going to tick along at 6min 20sec" - that is the pace you should have started with ,maybe slightly faster.
