Hi Ben I see that you do a lot of treadmill work. If 1% gradient feels the same for you, how much slower do you think 0% gradient is than outside? Perhaps for paces in the 3:30 to 3:00/km range. Many thanks
@BenIsRunningАй бұрын
I always use 1% gradient and i still find it to be 3-5sec easier per km. Also depends on the conditions in the gym. If theres no air con in say a hotel gym, sometimes way harder. Thats where I rely on my lactate monitor to ensure I'm training at the desired intensity :)
@AlvaradosssАй бұрын
Quick question Ben, When you run in threadmill how do you calculate the speed in it to match your pace?
@BenIsRunningАй бұрын
The Coros running watch I use has a indoor run feature where you input the speed into the watch
@oleksandrkovalchuk163Ай бұрын
Wow! To be honest I'm afraid of doing such volume a week because of risk of injury, however often try I include long bike ride. My largest were ~105km and that was enough for sub2:35. But I know I need to increase it to break 2:30. Good luck in Valencia

Do you think, with the issues in southern Spain at present, the marathon is going to go ahead? Nobody wants to see anyone’s hard work, dedication and planning go out the window, but it seems the city has more pressing matters on their hands. Hope they manage to rally and pull it together.
@BenIsRunningАй бұрын
The latest from the organisers is that the marathon will go ahead and there have been measures put in place so that the income generated by the even can be channeled into helping with the work on the ground. Such a tragic loss, I hope the marathon can bring awareness and financial aid to those affected.
