THE RUN ACROSS AMERICA follows William Goodge's run across America from Los Angeles to New York City. In Episode 2, watch the first week of his run from Huntington Beach, CA, through the Mojave Desert.
William is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in the UK and The American Cancer Society in the US.
William lost his Mother Amanda in January 2018 to Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer when she was just 53 and found running as a therapy for dealing with the pain of that loss. Five years on since her passing, he has raised £100,000 or charities over his previous challenges. These include Running the Length of the UK in 2019, completing 48 Marathons in 30 Days, becoming the first person to run the 104-mile radius of Lake Como Italy, and completing the Marathon Des Sables, a 250km race in the Sahara Desert. Add those all up and they are nothing compared to what he is about to do.
