Best video yet. Honestly enjoy the mundane things like shots in the apartment/room. Feels “vloggy” + documentary style. Loved it. Need more of these!

We are our own worst critic - I understand the frustration with you, Marcus. BUT, a 17:14 5K time is such an amazing time - especially with some injuries you’ve gone through, plus the stress of running a business. Chapeau Marcus and Shawn!!

Towards the end of a race, yes, you'll have to ("fight" as your coach puts it) ignore the warning messages from your brain and body telling you to take your foot off the gas and trust in your training. But overall, racing (and running) shouldn't be a fight or a battle. Don't hop on some pain train or think of it as going to war. This mindset will only compound stress and tension. Instead one should try to relax, willingly leaning into discomfort, focusing on form and respiration. Hard as it may be, try to enjoy the marvel of your body and the privilege that is running. And as others have pointed out, it was hot and humid, do not fuss about the time. Great video, keep up the work

thank you and Marcus, your content is truly inspiring, and being here for your growth is always fun to watch, you and your brother are one of the reasons I started running and taking it seriously. last year I ran my first 5k in June ( with no training) finished at 30:10 and did not get back into it until this spring. I trained hard, pushed myself for a few months, and ran a 25:14 in the same event! I have a question: what keeps you moving even after beating a PR in a race? keeps you training? is it the voice saying I can be better or faster? I am personally struggling with this at the moment, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts? sincerely, from a fan and supporter. Cole Perkins.
