Thank you Connor you are a constant source of entertainment and your lovely wife must be a Saint to allow you such a large amount of latitude on projects, purchases, schemes, no room to park her car in the garage and in particular allowing you to use a rather large excavator in your own back yard!

Just did the same exact job here in New England - it’s a lot of work. Only thing I noticed is you took the time to dig down deep enough you should have kept it that deep when you brought it up into the foundation of the new building - looked really shallow where you entered the new building - Also would have been worth your time to sleeve that water line so in the future if there’s any issues you don’t have to dig the yard up again. I’m just starting to get my grass back to normal after all the crazy digging we had to do. It’s a hell of a job I salute you for taking it on yourself 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice job man.. Surprised they used galvanized pipe, not up to code here in Jersey since it builds up deposits and corrodes.
@lawnrebel3 жыл бұрын
yeah I wonder if that old stuff was stainless. The new fittings that I put in were galvanized. Those fittings that i dug up have been there for 7 years.
@njphil12793 жыл бұрын
@@lawnrebel You should be good for the next 50+ years so let the next guy worry about it. I say this because I was that next guy that bought a 50 yr/old house and wound up changing some galvanized stuff during some renovations and saw the 3/4" fittings were down to 1/2 diameter and built up with corrosion and crap and I have really good well water here.

Sorry to be a Ryan Knorr but as a Civil Engineer, I feel it my duty to put my Health and Safety hat on, and say entering a trench with unsupported sides is a big no no.
