I used this to assist during my install and it worked sweet. For the driver side, instead of creating a notch, I just split the speaker wire into single wires enough to reach the speaker. I was able to feed it through in a similar manner to how you did the rear doors just using two of the different small openings.

How did u get the plastic boot clips off the truck. Do they just snap on and off ?
@Zanezach

You can take a small screwdriver or plastic panel puller kit (various small plastic extractor tools from Harbor Freight, Amazon, etc.) and gently pry them off one and a time. But no, do not use brute force to pull these out, the ends may snap off and reseating the clip will be problematic. Good luck!

I have a crackling noise coming only from the passenger dash speaker Any tips?

You may have a blown speaker. Take a panel popper tool (Harbor Freight sells these in a kit, if you don't have one). While you're in there, and removing the speaker, you can place some dynaliner (not dynamat though) and it will help with resonance. Good luck!

@@Zanezach did you run dash speakers and door speakers together?
@Zanezach
@Zanezach 3 жыл бұрын
@@JOSE58LOPEZ I did run dash speakers, but separate paths. It's been some time, but I recall one of the dash speakers taking a little longer than the other to fish the wire worm through.

Bruh.. I'm sorry. xD. I've done this with my charger and now will be doing it with my New Ram 1500. Going for that perfect audio goodness.

Awe buddy....that's a lot of work..there is absolutely zero power loss by using factory wire.we usually run amplified speaker cable to the inside of the door grommet. There will be no advantage to do other wise. The engineers only use 16g wire on the speaker leads, don't need much more in "higher-quality" speaker cables lol. They all do the same thing.....conduct electricity......

Swagger Vader typically you don’t need to run 16 gauge wire for aftermarket door speakers UNLESS the speakers you’re using are going to be fed more then 75 RMS. Factory speaker wire is very thin and can’t handle more then that. There is very noticeable power-loss and a lot of resistance when you try to push more then 75 through the wire and makes your speakers not perform to their full potential. 🤷‍♂️ I would personally never use high-power demanding speakers exactly for this reason. I prefer clean installs that don’t add more headaches or work.

Good to know. I'm doing RF Punch 6x9s in my doors, running a P600x4 RF AMP.. i may just tap into the harness behind the factory screen...
