Running our A2A Toshiba heating system 24 x 7 - Is it more efficient leaving it on?

Heat Pumps are really a really efficient way to heat your home. Our result speak for themselves but our method of heating turning it on I the morning boosting temperatures then turning it off and bit using it allowing temperatures to drop when we're out, is that the efficient way to use our system or is it better to leave it on, keeping the infrastructure of the house warm, avoiding higher power boosts when turning it back on?
In March we found out by running it 24 x 7 over several days of freezing weather below zero
