Yep. The wires were always my problem with the Firma 160 and TP 3650. I spun my cable real fast too, even before I upgraded to the TP 3650. I should put mine back together and see what I get out of it with a GPS before I get the 4070 and hydra in there...

Oh man!!! The sonic wake on a clear day at the speed run spot and hold the throttle open, the 8s to hold bow down, I think would be super fast for a mono 👍. Keepm comn BGFL

Great content as always sir Having a bit of a dtruggle getting my boat up on plane, got a big single battery 10000, 120c everything stock trim tabs just about even with the hull maybe a tad pointed up. Does look like the prop may have taken a small hit so im wondering if thst might be the reason but yours just gets up and goes. Any suggestions will be most welcome 🙏

Possibly the heavy battery in combination with the damaged prop causing the hesitation

Spartan is better handling, a great Basher, the SonicWake is more stable at speed and overall faster. I think the SonicWake has better hardware and electronics.. SonicWake

Thank you, it's actually a ride height gauge from MAD LIZARD, basically made for hydroplanes to set the strut height.

Was that smoke or vaporized grease from the stuffing tube? The cooler weather will cause that...

No. The wires get real REAL hot and when water makes it way in to the hull, the hot wires flash the water into steam. Fairly common.

@PigglyWigglyDeluxe Im not gunna to argue heat in the wires. My Zelos 36 plugs and wires will get hotter than the motor and the esc. But those are cooled constantly with pumps. I wish the contacts on the escs were large enough to run 8ga leads. But the contact patches are just big enough for the stock wire diameter... But I'd lean harder towards tue wires and plugs getting hot simply due to the Amperage being pushed through them. Nothing to do with water in the hull..

Hey B, I have a seaking 180a sec and leopard 4082 1600 kv motor in my spartan, you think I could try 8s just to see if the boat would hold it or would I burn my electronics up?

With an esc upgrade, maybe? Pretty sure that 4082 1600kv is rated for 33v, propped right. You should be okay. If you blow something up, I'm not responsible...😆

45mm is huge for 8s bashing. I'd prop down to a X442 or CNC 4214. I've tried a TFL 443 and it's borderline too much.
