Class lads, great achievement! Walked it last year and thought that was a challenge, you’ve got me thinking about running it now 😂

Just saw the video - well done lads - planning on doing this myself - can I ask you some questions/tips?

Thanks Andrew. Of course, ask away. I just made the video and drove the support car but I'll pass your questions on to the lads and come back to you.

@@lucky-productions amazing! - Did you need to do much as a support? - Did the lads do 2 64km days or did you tag team occasionally?

@@altheus - So we had dedicated meet points where they could grab something to eat, refill water, change out of sweaty clothes etc. This was probably every 10-15km I'd say, maybe more regular on day 2 when bodies were hurting. I was tracking them using Google Maps Live Location. If you're bringing a support car, tell him to bring a book. There's lots of waiting, running over a mountain can take an hour, driving around it can take 4 minutes. - No tag teaming. All 3 of them ran every inch of the trail.

So, just having a pint with 2 of the lads here and your comment got us talking about it again. Key piece of advice: they recommend running the other way, Carlow to Dublin instead of their Dublin to Carlow. Their 2nd day, when they were physically drained, was all roads and farmland. Day 1 was beautiful (glendalough etc) and better for morale. And you finish in Dublin (home, for us at least)
