There's a spectrum of songs from awful to great and then a handfull that transcend classification and this is one. It's wonderful to hear artists who want to sing it and especially such a marvellous arrangement and performance that Julia gives here with the orchestra.

I understand the original meaning of the lyrics as described by Kate however...............sometimes in life, death, and deep contemplation alternative meanings are brought forth by our experiences and pain. I was at the World Trade Center on 9/11 and fought hard to save others, and eventually myself. But I have never forgiven myself for surviving. The images of the remarkably brave souls "running up that building" will not leave me. I have considered making a deal with God to bring me back to the event and let me die in grace. This song has forever allowed me to grieve in this way.

I quite literally cannot stop listening to this gorgeous arrangement. I posted it on a Kate Bush fan site wall because I really think it's a cover that both captures the original and brings something new to it. It's rare that covers manage that. Great voice, full of heart and I love your other stuff as well, particularly the Mad World/Sweet Dreams cover. Wow this is really amazing. Kate Recorded the original back in the 80's and the original needs remastering to give it new life or someone could come along and redo it - if that is at all possible. Just amazing. I love it so much. Super Bravo!

Remastering? No thanks, the original was done by Kate herself with Fairlight CMI. A legendary audio workstation, no way in hell I'll accept any work to tamper it with modern stuff.

When you wanted it remastering it means the song itself to be re-released with 2023 audio technology sound level from the original vinyl release from 1985. It's basically vinyl restoration and noise reduction and clean-up from the vinyl record. Did you mean re-recording the song which would mean that song completely recorded from studio by Kate Bush today 2023. I sincerely hope Kate Bush will appear more in concert singing it live rather than re-recording it. But this version from this young artist Julia is one of the best performance I heard. She is incredibly focus and attempting to capture the essence and original integrity of song and I loved her artistry, skills her vocal stage presence are amazing.

Kate's delivery at the time was more of a youthful, passionate lover. Here there is a much more mature delivery. I can really appreciate and relate more. I sense it is sang from a grown woman that has been holding on to her relationship for a long period of time. But she does not receive the efforts from her counterpart (maybe because he is not ready to be the King she deserves) for whichever reason. You ask through love, you confront, you forgive at the same time. But stay firm in your demand. You are very fascinating and you inspire respect and admiration as you're moving hearts with your powerful yet delicate voice. You are a Goddess. (At least you embodie it here on this stage, when you tell about "making a deal with God" it feels you are already his equal).
