I love the music... thanks for this, it reminds me of going over there with my Mum every Saturday.

Great Video. Brings back lots of memories, i lived in Toxeth in 72, rough place but the people were really decent. Liverpool is just a very special place, unique......

I was 11 back in 1972 but i can remember like it was yesterday. It was safe back then for a kid to travel from wallasey to Anfield and watch the game, not like now.

What strikes me is how little it has actually changed! Love the music too btw. :)

I wish i'd been able to visit Liverpool when it still looked like this! So much character. You sense a pride in the appearance of things - people's dress, the cars, the buildings. It seems very English - not at all the feeling you get there now.

This is eerie! Has anyone ever told you that your work is a little TOO good? I was the office slave at Bass Breweries on Johnson Street in the early seventies. I bought my first plane ticket to Canada on Dale Street in 1976 & have lived in the USA since 1978.

Oh, goodness! I have lived in Scotland since 1978, but in 1972 I worked in Escombe, McGraths Travel Agents which was just opposite India Buildings. Dale Street was my lunchtime haunt (there was a large cafe there, can't remember its name but I remember I could use my luncheon vouchers!)I have only been back to Liverpool a couple of times since I left so this film is just as I remember the area. Happy days!

Interesting...more survived the blitz than I would of imagined...though I suppose some went down later to urban renewal. I want to visit Liverpool...maybe this fall. Hello from Wash. DC

@lsjkfbsodj I went through Huyton the other week and saw that there was a statue to Harold Wilson there ?? Dunno why. Another waste of money in an area that needs money better spent !!
