Back in the day, on the pop radio version of this song they didn't play the solo. It's one of the best solos in history and not only did you nail it, but you nailed the tone as well. That was outstanding, great job.

I've seen other guys play that Luke solo and they don't do the octave hits, that's key to the rhythm sound prior to the solo. Good ear. My first new guitar was a 1983 or 4 Lake Placid blue hardtail w a maple fingerboard....wish i still had it but i traded it straight-up for a tobacco Les Paul. I was in a huge Allman Brothers phase that taught me about intervals and vibrato. Another great Strat I wish I kept was an Arctic White Japanese '62 reissue w a rosewood fingerboard. The neck was amazing. It made you play faster, it was so smooth and forgiving. I had an Yngwie signature strat when i was i the throes of collecting, but i couldn't play it back to back w other guitars without going sharp on chords because of the finger pressure change. So I sold it to a guy who was an Yngwie afficianado.

Duuuuuhde…..so many things to touch on. First, I love your choice of this solo and you blew the freakin doors off it. excellent job, this outro solo was my intro to being a player, not that I play like luke, but as far as just going off and still being melodic. Also, I love the pale blue strat w rosewood. You have a calling card now. That is you. I thought I saw a little yngwie influence in there too. Nice, be proud of that. The big wide vibrato will never go out of style. It's fucking ear candy. Anyway, well played sir. You and that Strat have a lot to do, get on it.

Joe Butler This is one of my favorites guitar solo ok Luke, I’ve been listening that since the 80's when I was kid. And this is my YJM strat signature model and I have Yngwie influence of course since I started to play, the rosewood neck is totally scalloped and the color is sonic blue.
