What I learned from this: You only need 8 frames to make a good run animation 1. is the animation start, both legs in the air 2. left leg touches ground 3. full weight on left leg, torso in line with the leg, slightly bend 4. push off with left leg 5. the first frame but mirrored 6,7,8th Frame -> 2,3,4th frame, mirrored

I just love the different feelings shown when a character is running at times. - Jogging shows the elegance and calmness - Sprinting is just going ham with intensity through break neck speeds
@leandroagonzalez32 жыл бұрын
Jogging is really bad on your knees as you center alot of your pressure around your knee. Instead of diffusing it in your strides. Anybody you see jogging as a form of exercise is 1. very lazy 2. Uneducated. 3. In danger. If you simply want to work up your heart. Burpees, jump roping, and jumping Jack's is all you need. Jogging is putting un needed stress to your body. If you want to run, then run. 3.

"Above all what is most important is what one wants to express through the act of running. It is not enough merely to copy how and actual person runs. It is rare to see good running and good walking even in live action films, and this demonstrates that running and walking are among the most difficult movements for actors to convey. For this reason I would hope that in animated films we can use observation and the technique of optical illusion to realize many wonderful ways of running that even live actors cannot project. Men of strong resolve, who are wearing heavy armor and carrying swords, should run in a way that weak extras cannot. The running of surging masses on fire with anger, the running of a child doing his best to hold back tears until he reaches his house, the running of a heroine who has forsaken everything but the desire to flee --- being able to show wonderful ways of running, running that expresses the very act of living, the pulse of life, across the screen would give me enormous delight. I dream of someday coming across a work that requires that kind of running." - Hayao Miyazaki, _Starting Point_

Ah yes the most simplest and first thing we as humans learn to do. Crawl, walk, run. Look around you. Nobody knows how to walk, you think they can run? Why do you think so many get inspired by drawings. Because they themselves can't imagine the reality of it and say life imitates art. No you moron art imitates life. Life is peak art, every form of media is a FRACTION of the power contained in reality.
