Man, Adidas is coming out swinging for the counteroffensive against the competition. Been a little quiet from Adidas while all the new shoes from the likes of ASICS, Hoka, and NB have been making waves, but you knew they've been waiting for the right moment and now is the time. Love all the new stuff from ASICS (Metaspeed Edge/Sky Paris, Superblast 2) and Hoka (Cielo X1, Skyward X, etc.) but the Adizero line remains on the top for me and this EVO SL, the AP4, and Adios 9 will only solidify that position. This EVO SL looks really interesting. There goes my wallet!

Some's been saying Evo SL is to replace Boston. I think Boston is here to stay. With the addition of Evo SL, Adizero line now has 3 distinct super trainers: 1/ illegal stack Prime X 2/ plated (or rod) Boston 3/ non - plated Evo SL (it has a small piece of nylon plate for stability only)

I think this is Adidas opportunity to bump the stack heigh of the Boston over 40MM into the Prime X's class. Boston was the training partner to the Pro 3, but now with the Evo SL and Pro 4 being the training and racing counter-parts, Adidas can have more max stack options (similar to Asics Superblast 2 and Glideride Max)

From looks of it stack will be below 40mm - but with 6mm drop it will still have above 30mm in forefoot 👍 Interesting take on "supertrainers" - seems adidas is going against all others with stacks reaching way above 40mm Then we have adios 9 coming in December with too full light strike pro midsole and no rods but some torsion system - guessing at lower stack that this Good times for light strike pro enthusiasts - better hold on buying otger brands and save some for coming adidas 😅
