This PX2S shown on this video isn't the final production version that was released. The middle layer now extends fully towards the end of the forefoot area without a gap there. Not sure how much difference in weight that would make but the word is that it's noticeably heavier than v1, which is my favorite road running shoe for long distance workouts. I'm going to give this a try but the significant weight gain has tempered my expectations.

This model is very different that what we have in the store. The energy core was fully extended and no hole in the forefoot area.

Rumor has it that Nike claimed adidas infringed their patent, so adidas had to change the tooling of prime strung v2. The model shown in the video is the general public release.
@edwinduisburg8138 Жыл бұрын
Yeah this is older version and for some reason they changed the energy core. Would like to know why.

Ye, and we already know that it's heavier. The only improvement about the v2 seems to be the stability, but that comes with some drawbacks, if that's not a concern for you, just get the v1, if you're interested at all. People that already own the v2 are saying that this is a downgrade.

I’d love to know what prompted the change in energy core design from this version to the final release version, where the midsole is filled in. I’m a little surprised you released the video given the version here from The Running Event won’t actually be available?

Is this the final version? The green one that was released for a short time does not look like this. I believe Nike are not happy with the carbon format as it’s similar to theirs. Is this true? Is this an old video?

This would’ve been an old video shot at the Running Event I think. This isn’t the final release design.

50mm stack height? It's banned in most races, isnt it?
@Morganix01 Жыл бұрын
Matters in some ironman events but otherwise unless you're winning prize money, it won't affect your average runner. Even shoes like the NB SC Trainer v1 or Asics Superblast are above the legal stack height.

I think this shoe is cool, but all I see in the reviews is about "running fast" and how the pros cant use it since it's illegal but we can. Id really love to ask about how this shoe could be used as a tool in your shoe lineup. When it first came out my thoughts gravitated to utilizing the shoe for long runs, untapered AND at pace to utilize the foam to make sure my legs didnt get beat up and for recovery. Is that something others have considered? I feel like even the pros could technically train in something like that when they are under fatigue but obviously race in the pro 3. My second thought gravitated towards long distance triathletes. I feel like this would be marketable for them because they have historically said fuck you to the overarching federation rules.
