What a Wonderful group, Living in America and thx to KZbin I came across this great band, sort of by accident searching rod stewart lyrics only to find out Runrig is the creator of those beautiful lyrics. Now "running to the light" is a Masterpiece and my current favorite tune. Thank You for your great work. Many Thx and much Love from Arizona, USA.

Fabulous performance from all!!!! (Incidentally, I read recently that this song was the favourite of one of the female astronauts killed in the shuttle disaster. She played it all the time when in space). Please forgive me if I have this wrong. Wonderful song and thank you for uploading. Kind regards.
@docdr71992 жыл бұрын
You are correct. You'll find more about it elsewhere, but Laurel Clarke's CD fell to earth after the shuttle broke up and her husband and son flew to Scotland and presented it to the band.

@roundhay46 - If you're still out there, 4 years ago when I commented here on Duncan Chisholm's fiddle-playing, you recommended that I listen to David Lindley on Jackson Browne's Before the Deluge. I've been listening to that almost ever since - like a thirst I can never quench. Thank you SO much.

I was told by a Runrig fan (hes since got me into their music!) that this song was being played on the space shuttle that blew up just after it took off. I vaguley remember it being on the news, think it was a group of teachers and think it happened in the early 90's but could be wrong, very sad.

I was recently planning to play this song during the late 25th anniversary turibute performance for the crew members of the space shuttle Columbia disaster next to my dna related younger brother’s possible 4th grade teacher in Massachusetts. I will invite the 25 year olds that learned about Ilan Ramon at the sleep away camp that I have been working at since I was 19 years old to the performance in honor of laurel Clark. It might have to be though istagram. The performance will be in early June 2028 in my DNA related younger brother’s possible 4th grade classroom the for the following school year.
