There has never been a band like Runrig that drew such amazing responses, like as has been shown towards this band. How hard it must have been to say goodbye to this crowd. I see the guy that drew me to Runrig in the first place in 78 was feeling it hard to do so. Malcolm, I love him. I hate that we won,t have this band again. Such a heartwrenching time. As Malcolm showed. We too feel like him. Remember the days when they played in small halls across Scotland. The days before they branched out to outdoor shows. Where the floor even bounced, it felt like . When the crowds in the halls jumped as one, in time to those songs. Runrig were special .

Thank you so much, Andy S for this lovely video. I live in Aalborg , Denmark, and i have been to Runrigs concerts in SKOVDALEN whenever they had concerts there, since 1999. - EXEPT THE LAST CONCERT in 2017.. Luckely the "wind was in the right direction", so I sat at my balcony, listening to the sound of Runrig, and the audiences voices. And I was sad... For my birthday in october, my two sons had bought 2 tickets for me, to take my best friend - and a REAL RUNRIG fan - to the LAST CONCERT IN DENMARK in BOXEN in Herning. I have never had a present, that ment so much to me, and the fact, that my boys had bought 2 tickets so I could give Preben that "farewell to Runrig" that ment so much to him, is something, we can never give enough thanks. So thank you, for sharing the final moments from Sterling

From the time a co-worker told me about the band over 25 years ago I have faithfully listened, watched, and learned. Runrig is more than it seems and cannot be contained to a poetic sediment. It's an emotion. A feeling. I have never been to Scotland, but the boys made me believe I was part of the clan. I will miss them dearly. Always in my heart. Thank you for the journey. Be with your families and return the energy we gave you ten fold to them as they embrace your return to the hearth. Rest without worry and smile.

I love music. But I love Runrig more than music. I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the Friday concert. Travelled up alone from the Midlands for the evening, but had to leave early to get back. Missed my sons stag do. Says it all. I have followed this band for over 30 years. You will always be in my heart. Happy retirement boys. Thank you, with all my heart, for the music. Malcolm is one of the best guitarists in the world, and Bruce did a fine job after Donny. Wish I could turn back the years! So many of their songs invoke a hidden meaning or a remember just for me. "There's no way without you". God Bless. Runrig fans are the best.

Thanks for posting this Andy, I currently reside in the States and had the unique opportunity when I was much younger (17), to travel and work in Scotland as part of an exchange through National Federation of Young Farmers. While in Scotland I was very fortunate to discover Runrig via songs on the radio, and I believe at the time "Searchlight" had just been released the prior year and I was hooked. I can't claim to be their biggest fan, but I'm a huge fan none the less and have a majority of all their albums and have listened to them for over 28 years. I too will miss them dearly as they have felt like a good friend to me, for I have listened to them through laughter and tears. I had always wanted to attend a Runrig concert but was never able to attend one, I had tried in 2005 but the concert in New York was canceled. Anyway thank you again Andy for this video, thank you Runrig for making some of the best music I have ever heard and please know there is one crazy "Yank" that will be listening until I can no longer listen.

I found this band by accident whilst browsing in a charity shop in the late 90s and came across this cassette tape , it was the name "run rig " that caught my attention. I played it over many times and fell in love with the rawness and the musicality of their songs you could feel the performance. Life went by and I had stuff to deal with and it was now in the early 2000 s that I regained my interest and found out a few more of their album /tapes. I then when to see them live at Wolverhampton . Best band "live" period !! Malcolm's guitar playing , Iain's drums , the best! I bought tickets for their farewell performance @ Manchester but sadly could not make it due to illness , perhaps just as well as it would have been a little sad I think . Thanks for the music boys!
