Here we have the New WPL C64-1 RTR going on a trail run with the MN Model MN82 which is also a recent model from mn model. Fun little trucks that are surprisingly more capable than they look. Check them out!

Just need to swap the 260 for a 370, bolts right up, and fixes the torque issues instantly FOR $5usd

I agree with you... That wpl c64-1 just need a upgrade... Its appearance is already awesome... Nice video bro keep up the good work... I already buy the wpl c64-1 today and do a test run so far its not that bad...

they both are ok for some trail duties. Mods needed for more performance for both but the MN Model is surprisingly good stock electronics.

I'm starting my RC adventure with this Toyota :D I'm thinking about switching wheels and tires (no idea what to pick) and maybe battery (got small one 500 mah)/motor. I've seen upgrade metal suspension kits - but I think that it will increase the weight drastically.

MN Model ESC maybe? I was told the production models dont have the cut out issues.

@@RunThatRC Mine cut out constantly under any kind of load. I put a 280 motor in and it hasn't cut out since 👍🏼

Does this early batch of C64 has cut off problem? TomleyRC had this problem too.

yes it did have cut off problems but WPL says that they fixed the issue for the production models.

Does your WPL axles or driveshafts bind up on full turn? Mine does terribly. I also get the esc cutting out on mine too. Keep up the awesome content!!

not really experiencing the binding much. You have a production model that cuts out? WPL told me they fixed that issue. I would contact WPL on there messenger and see what they may be able to do for you.

Take the steering cups out and you'll see the dog bones sit in a channel. Trim and taper the end of the channel and it'll massively help with binding. Almost make it look like an SCX/Tamiya/Etc version

C64 is a looker though. They are all good with some mods.

Nice! Is the transmission of the C24/C54 more robust or at least equal to the MN82/99?

C24 not as good as mn82 but same as mn99. The C54 has a good gearbox equal or maybe better than the mn82 but stock electronics are the best in the mn82.

You've said in the video that you modded the board to get rid / reduce the cutouts..could you explain more?

If I remember correctly the chip you want to jump is marked R11 on the board. you just need to solder a jumper wire across it and you've got a higher cutout.

@KidNomura according to WPL it shouldn't be an issue for the production units. This is a pre production test unit they sent me.

they both have similar upgragability. Just depends how much tinkering you want to do. Some parts are interchangeable on both with minor mods.

Mine cuts out only when its to strained but works good im actually gonna put c24 transmission i like the 180 with 887 turn motor its a beast

Don't do that just get the 370 motor it bolts right up to the 260 transmission. Now blows my c24 out of the water has twice the torque

@fpvMazerolle2607 if you did swap to the c24 one of your axles would need flipped to reverse its rotation to match that transmission if you do go that way at any point as the c24 is not counter rotating

Stock esc definitely not handling the job. Heard others with this issue. I would get a better esc and receiver and call it a day! I usually go 370 motor, flysky tx/rx and hobbywing 1080 esc.
