She is a natural, her alien like feautres may seem aggressive but the beauty is there along with a confident stride with some flair too to soften her sterness. Look at the way she walks holding the jacket at 4.09...it's distinctive. That's is the most important quality in a catwalker. She has some unique touches that makes her shine.

She has always been a favourite of mine. I still remember the day she debuted on the Prada Spring 2006 runway closing the show at the very young age of 14. She must've been the youngest model casted by Miuccia at that time. But too bad she didn't nab the campaign which obviously went to Sasha. She was like an ethereal elf from the Lord of the Rings and I think she could've fit right in the movie and novel as another elf besides Galadriel and Arwen, so tall and regal and majestic within the woods. She was such a breathe of fresh air amongst the sea of alien-esque baby doll models. And her catwalk was fierce to say the least (not too swingy or over the top), she enjoyed the runways and she was so bubbly backstage even though her English needed a lot of work to it but that didn't matter. She enjoyed her job back then in 2006 and the following years after. I just find it weird that even though she seemed to be a Donatella favourite in Versace, opening the show twice and sometimes being the second model out after someone like Daria for subsequent Versace shows, as well as being a Galliano favourite in Dior, sometimes being the second last model out and usually getting the more gorgeous gowns and dresses, she never seemed to be chosen by John or Donatella to front the Versace or Dior by Galliano ad campaigns. Weird. Same goes to Georgina Stojiljkovic. Was also a favourite of John for Dior (usually getting the more beautiful gowns and dresses and even closing for him in that peacock gown) and Donatella for Versace but never got chosen to front the Versace or Dior ad campaigns. I wished that both Tanya and Georgina appeared in the same Versace campaign together back then, they would've looked amazing together in the same campaign. I mean both had that ethereal elven look going for them and would've looked amazing fronting a Versace campaign. Maybe shot by Steven Meisel like that old classic Versace campaign for Fall 1998 with Carolyn Murphy and Guinevere. Talking about Steven Meisel, I wonder why he never developed a liking for Tanya and photographed her for a Vogue Italia cover even though he did photograph her for the Lanvin ad campaign and DSquared ad campaign back then. So sad that Tanya did not even front any major Vogue cover with the exception of lesser Vogues like Vogue Russia. And does anyone know whether it was IMG the agency that scammed her paycheck/earnings or was it the agents who were in charge of monitoring her bookings and jobs that scammed her? Because if it was IMG then wouldn't more famous models have come forward and also highlight this since IMG has an impressive stable of renowned models such as Daria Webowy, Gemma Ward, Joan Smalls, Carolyn Murphy, Karen Elson, Ai Tominaga, Lily Donaldson, etc etc. Does anyone know who actually scammed Tanya? Her agency or the agents in charge of her? Wonder why she never retaliated or sued them back. Guess she was too young and naive at that time and didn't know how or where to seek legal recourse. Oh poor Tanya, you rose and disappeared so quickly. :( At least she's still living in Paris and doing what she loves doing which is photography.

If Saskia de Brauw or Adesuwa can make a breakout in their late 20s/ early 30s then there's no reason why Tanya couldn't model again if she wants to. Except the fact that the industry is still so much obsessed over young/teenage models

@@megumifllies From what I've read that is the real reason why she switched agencies from IMG to another agency. They pubicly said it was because she lost her passport which caused her to miss many shows back in 2008 in New York but that the aforementioned was the real reason. After that fiasco her modeling career went on an abrupt decline and she started booking less and less shows and campaigns. The last major campaign she had was with D&G if I remember correctly. For someone who wasn't even in her 20s then it was a big blow for her for sure.
