Even had the same trajectory where in the middle late of the competition it looked like they weren't gonna win. @@plc9359 i agree, UK3 was probably the first time in drag race history when i simply didnt care for a single person in the top 4. It's like they made that season specifically to lose my interest, with the early eliminations of Elektra and Veronica, Victoria's exit (with no open invitation to return for some inconceivable reason), disrespect for Charity, the Choriza/River double elimination which removed the last two interesting contestants left. And yet Vanity made it to top 4 with NO wins (except the girl group challenge which half the cast wins), 1 low and 3 bottoms. I don't blame them for this one: they had to keep her around because they, again inconceivably, decided to cast two queens of color on the entire season, and we all know Asians have next to no chance to do well on the show... So Vanity HAD to be pushed far if they wanted to avoid accusations of racism. Could have just cast more POC but there's nothing they could have done about it once filming started

Krystal is 6 months older than I am. She won her season last year. I started watching drag race only the year before. I fully cannot fathom how somebody has spent essentially the same amount of time alive that I’ve been given into perfecting their art so finely. I’m a trained musical theatre actor but I still couldn’t do half of what she does. Absolutely mind blowing. I cannot wait to see who she’ll be in 5, 10, 15 years.

So here’s the thing. Rewatching the season, it was undeniable that krystal was a worthy winner, but I think it was Ru’s complete biasedness throughout that really annoyed me. She obsessed over her and it was just unfair to see some queens get bttm placements when she deserved etc.

The series starts great but quickly flunders into really bad episodes for the general middle portion. It does however pick it up with the last few but spot in the middle, not good. But yes, I completely agree. There wasn't any hiding of it even during challenges where she did bad. Did Krystal deserve to win? Absolutely. But yeah the point that really stands out is when RuPaul gives her the speech of how she was born to be a drag queen despite flopping the challenge, that's when we all truly knew.
