@@RealLordVoldemort well I think you’re both right. Obviously rupaul puts on a mask for people in interviews and when he’s working. But that joy isn’t fake but just a small part of ru’s personality. He is a hyper intelligent emotionally guarded introvert that only lets a few people into his inner circle. He is drawn to people with similar interests or intelligence levels because it’s enjoyable to relate to them. Most introverts in show business have to put on this facade of joy and energy because honestly we dont want to be there I front of strangers or talking to someone who isn’t apart of my inner circle. The problem with being at the level of rupaul is most people create a close relationship in their head when in reality there never was one. People assume ru owes them a moment, a conversation, a mentorship just because they idolize him, when in reality he doesn’t owe anyone anything, except god.

I was born in 1980 and a teenager in the 90s. Rupaul was the first introduction to drag most of the ststes knew of. I cant believe how far drag has come and thats mainly due to rupaul being so enduring. He opened so many doors for what drag is today. Im sure many will argue that but from my experience growing up thats the truth.
