Willam does a great job this episode in that he's smart, has great jokes pre-prepared and creates moments. But it's kind of weird that - given he keeps talking about how much acting experience he supposedly has - he doesn't actually take the opportunity to do much acting as Jessica Simpson. He doesn't noticeably change his voice and essentially it feels like he's just identified a celebrity he can use as an excuse to play a version of himself. Which works well, but it feels like kind of a missed opportunity. Poor Dida. Two weeks in a row she's really strong but stuck in a train-wreck 'team' (if we count the two rows as different teams) that doesn't allow her to shine. Not that it stopped Chad, but she wasn't literally stuck in the middle of it.

LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of issues with all of Jessica Simpson's products copyrights. Willlam was hella-prepared and pretty much killed the Snatch Game, but none of it could be used for legal reasons. Pisses me off because I wanted to see it all.

To me, throught the season, the humor usually came from Willam being sarcastic and people not picking up on it, so him playing the dumb blond still cracks me up. He was obviously familiar with the part he played, but I think in Snatch Game you want to showcase something you're already really good at, not experiment because that can go south real fast. Making a clever choice on who to impersonate doesn't make the performance less and many of the others would have benefited from it. Also, I'm getting a little tired of the 'not changing his voice' argument, there's one on almost every season of the show, too, and it's always unwarranted. They're men, they sound like men. I'm guessing he went as high as he could without straining his voice. Being a good actor doesn't mean you have a wide vocal range. Phi Phi, who kept talking about how much singing experience he supposedly had, tires to Aguilera it out later in the season and it's cringey as all hell. To quote a classic, you want people to laugh with you, not at you.

Everyone was so emotional back stage and Willam returned to the runway still crying and that’s when that moment happened. Gotta love a splice edit

I love Snatch Game, I love the level of creativity and spontaneity and commitment that it requires from the queens every season ... but something that has always annoyed me is that 10 seasons in, and I feel there just has NOT been enough comediennes impersonated for the challenge. Where's Wanda Sykes Hall? Rosie O'Donnell? Bette Midler? Kathy Griffin? Margaret Cho? Betty White? Janeane Garofalo? (terracotta pottery smash!) There is one rule of Snatch Game; Make. It. Funny! Why do we still have queens who insist on doing pop music icons and fashion models over these fabulous funny girls?

Because snatch game is a satire, and you cant satarize that which is already funny. Satire is act of taking something that people see as serious and making fun of it. You cant satirize something which is already a comedy. That is why movie satires never make fun of comedies.

I'm amazed you guys didn't talk about their other choices. So allegedly, Sharon wanted to do either Freddy Krueger, Peewee Herman, or Elvira. Production told her she couldn't do a character or a man, then she wanted to do Cher but Chad had Cher. Phi Phi was going to do either Lindsay Lohan or Ariel from Little Mermaid, production said no. So then it was going to be a dueling Gaga scenario, but Sharon said no to that and production convinced her to do Michelle. Willam wanted Smurfette.
