Concerning Jynx’s dark contouring makeup. She said in an interview (with Alaska I believe) that she painted heavier because she thought that was what glamour looked like (which Michelle kept asking for). And she didn’t stop doing it until she saw herself on the monitor after a recording and realized she looked crazy lol 😂 it’s makeup for on stage under spotlights not television 😂 Loved the video ❤

I heard somewhere, that originally Jade was going to wear a cosplay down the runway. She had a jade from Mortal Kombat cosplay. Because that’s where she got her name Jade is from that. And she was kind of a cosplay queen before getting on drag race. But the producers told her that she couldn’t do an IP license property so she had to come up with that the day of. So she just kind of crapped some thing together.

I think Coco thought it was her Detox and Roxxy against Alyssa and Jinkx usurped her spot. So when they put her with Alyssa and then screwed her over in favor of Jinkx/Jade/Ivy she took it more as a personal slight than game. In general, she seems to take things more as "you hate me" than as a silly game. Also "is that wrong English" is such an ESL thing to say.

This is another one of those Season 5 episodes where I wish I had known what the original Runway prompt was, because this really doesn't feel like a "Favorite Body Part" Runway (with the exception of Detox). Like, sure, also take with a grain of salt this is a completely different era of Drag Race, so not every queen just had a look slash could commission a look to show off a body part if they did not already have one, but even Ivy Winters said she made that headshot outfit in the Werk Room with a stack of pictures she brought (I'd ask why she brought them, but I bet it was specifically in case she needed them to make an outfit, this clearly was not the first time she made a dress like that). Maybe the prompt was "Outfit that you feel compliments your body"? That, or the producers were just like "with the stuff you brought extra, pick something to show off your favorite body part" and it wasn't a prompt at all? Season 5 has a bunch of those runways where I wonder "that's what Ru says, but what were the girls told to actually bring".

Cause she is funny enough to keep it up, but also not scared to get dirty, so she would totally have full transformation through it. 29:10 It was drag parody song challenge pretty much. Or more simply - a comedy challenge. Which concept - good idea, song choice and lyrics - not the worst thing we had. Some performances - really funny. This was also a challenge to take out the weakest link. You need Charisma to sell it, you need to be Unique to stand out, you have to have Nerve to sing, especially if you are bad at it and you have to have enough Talent to either sell it musically or comedically.
