I think Alaska said somewhere that the producers told them to wear red within a week of the finale. And a bunch of queens already had their outfits ready and said f*ck you im wearing this
@michaeltonus38888 ай бұрын
So the thing about the Dry-Fit shorts, is that that's the same runway that Bob wore the robot catsuit from Amazon. And Bob has said the reason she packed that, was because she didn't think the roller girl thing was going to be a full runway category; she thought it was for a mini challenge. So if Bob was under that impression it's possible Cynthia was similarly mistaken as well. (It's still a bad look but for a mini challenge who cares?)

About the red dresses: one of the queens (Alaska possibly) dished years ago that they were all told to wear red, but then Detox turned up in her B&W look and they said to them all “ok you don’t have to stick to the red theme then”. So a few switched to something else but most stayed with the red dress they had already chosen.

i love that you brought up "why can't we find people who can sing and dance" because i was JUST telling my girlfriend after we watched singin in the rain together "yknow, there used to be triple threats, people who could sing dance AND act. now we got a-listers who aren't even a single threat."

For Summer Camp, I hope you'll eventually cover this weird camp movie from my childhood, Camp Nowhere, about a bunch of rowdy kids and teens who don't wanna go to boring college credit camps, so they trick their parents into letting them go to this 'new camp' where the kids are basically all by themselves, save for a 'counselor' played by the legendary Christopher Lloyd into acting as a 'despicable adult'. I remember Parent's Day bit just being the best scene of the movie! When their parents visit and they quickly have to swap the camp from looking like a Broadway Theater camp, to a Military-style camp, to a Computer Camp where they accidentally hack into the CIA. I also remember it had a banging original song for the closing credits, back when 90's movies would actually make songs for their movies instead just licensing everything.

So, as I understand it, Jade Julie’s outfit was a character from Adventure Time. It’s a rainbow unicorn dragon. And honestly, if you know what the references, the outfit is really amazing. Because she genuinely was trying to re-create that. Jade was very much a cosplay queen and that’s really where her passion is. Unfortunately, the show wouldn’t let her do a lot of her cosplay stuff because of IP rights. But I think she was like you know what it’s the finale, they can’t stop me from doing this one. And I always love it. But, I guess if you don’t know what the references it probably gets lost in the sauce.

My theory is this. Girls happened to wear red and then when they got there, some ga PA said "Wait no, the finalists are in red!" so Penny went in the back and made that look, Serena went to wet seal and bought that skirt and top, Honey put on that ugly cape and the others...just didn't give a shit. Re: Judges Unfortunately Santino has gone full nutso. Honestly I feel like they were testing Law Roach the same way they were testing TS Madison. Billy B was good when he was on. About modern takes on classic Busby Berkeley musicals: it's too expensive. Kenneth Branagh sort of tried it with Love's Labour Lost, and the amount of rehearsal hours needed for those huge choreographies, with lots and lots of highly skilled dancers, is insane.

My understanding regarding the red outfit memo is that they told the girls to wear red like 2-3 days before but a bunch of the girls already had looks they were gonna wear so they said no. Production then decided that only the top 3 needed to wear red but some of the other girls either had found something red and/or didn’t get the update about the top 3

Yes, not on past winner is shocking. But then again lady bunny hasn’t even been a judge and she’s supposedly friends (duno about now with the latest tweets!). We’ve not had coco Peru, jackie beat, sherry vine, Lypsinka etc. all absolute legends to sit on panel. Not one 😮. This all speaks to Ru’s attitude and personality

If you gonna continue with something - I feel like Season 6 and 7 are obvious step, considering those are the last older seasons you haven't reviewed fully. Unless we gonna wait for the Global All Stars or something. vs The World series are also total clusterfecks and short enough to do them. And it gives more insight into international seasons, you probably won't be watching any time soon. And obviously - watching international seasons would be such a serve. Like Thailand 2, Philippines? Spain, France? Heck just going for Canada and UK would be cute. Hopefully Patreon chooses wisely.
