it might seem like there's no respect to you but people can honor a lost loved one without having to instantly break down in tears or start getting upset, and especially at a very high exposure event while being interviewed.

Did you not see her face when she was talking about the Vivian? She was holding back tears. At the same time, would the The Vivian want her friends to stop doing drag or cancel Drag Con because of her death? Unlikely. She's not described as a narcissist.
