A thing I really like about this season is the number of working class (and scottish, northern) queens. Last season you had tory queens like Baga who think the Government shouldn’t “give things out for free” but Ellie wouldn’t have gotten free housing if it weren’t for the UK’s homeless policies. It doesn’t really read to an international population for whom representation is primarily related to racial, sexual and gender identity, but the class representation this season was actually really good. (I’m not British, just really interested in their labour movement)

I'm really disgusted by all the Lawrence hate. BOTH Bimini and Lawrence deserved to win. But this is RUPAUL'S drag race. Ru says it herself every time - the final decision is hers to make. Having a good track record, being a fan favourite, etc is something important to consider, yes. But at the end of the day, the winner is someone that Ru believes will best represent her brand. Bimini killed it on the show and is loved by many - she will be fine. Lawrence is just as talented, though in different ways, and will be a great spokesperson for the franchise.

Id argue UK season 1 was also produced and prescribed, like in terms of how blu, cheryl and crystal were prescribed to leave on specific episodes, how baga was carried all the way to the finals and how viv was crowned over divina. Now u gon say how lawrence was crowned over bimini and i kinda agree i was full on expected for bimini to have won but i think lawrence was so fucking memorable and endearing and lovable that she was chosen out of a fucking amazing cast overall. UK season 2 officially joins season 5 and all stars 2 as one of the best seasons of drag race ever.

Oh of course, I hated the AS4 double crown with a passion and I really feel monet and Trinity didn’t like either. That being said, season 3 and UK2 I think are the only seasons where a double crown is totally justified between the top 2. Bimini was the obvious winner for everyone tbh (including me) but I believe that Lawrence won bc she is more marketable. With one of the best seasons the series has served to date, they need a strong and enthusiastic queen who encapsulates the humour and charisma that uk queens are known for and Lawrence perfectly fits that mould. Lawrence has the power to easily capture people’s attention and catapult RPDRUK into an even more successful show than it already is given her marketability as a queen that is easy to watch, attracting for foreign audiences who aren’t familiar with uk queens and what the drag scene is like over there, Lawrence would be a good introduction to uk drag for them. This is just my opinion on why she won and Bimini was my pick to win but I’m sure she’ll win the first season of RPDRUK All Stars whenever Ru decides to make one!:)

i love lawrence and i think she deserved the win. but it’s a reality tv show and they showed lawrence as being a queen that had fallen from grace. lawrence was on a downward trajectory whilst bimini was shown as being the front runner. if they chose lawrence to win the ‘beastenders’ episode, it would’ve made more sense that lawrence would win because it would show her getting her groove back. i love lawrence but it didn’t make sense with the last couple episodes.

Omg yes, like I'm happy Lawrence is winning but if the show wanted to crown her even with and before Bimini's better track record and fan support then they could have easily taken away the track record thing by giving Lawrence the win in Beastenders, and it would have brought her back up to the top from her downhill trajectory that turned into a slow incline, completing her story as the original frontrunner that took a dip but then reassured everyone why she was and now again is the frontrunner. Cause Lawrence kinda had the weakest storyline, well not the weakest season long storyline, more like the "Going into the finale storyline". Cause you had Ellie, the consistently high placing, underdog queen with no wins that might just have a chance, then Tayce, the fierce lip sync assassin and dancer that could slay the others in the final performance and lip sync then maybe take the crown, then Bimini, the queen that literally crawled from the bottom of the pit that was their beginning on drag race, picking up wins on the way to the finale and possibly the crown, and Lawrence, the frontrunner that fell from grace but still could have a chance. But yeah, Lawrence definitely had an upward trajectory after her downward trajectory but it wasn't fully completed, if she had gotten that win then it would have worked and made sense. Overall, if they made that simple change then the outcry from Bimini's fans wouldn't be seen as the truth because they had a better track record, it would be seen as a fanbase upset that their favourite didn't win, like Tayce and Ellie. I dunno, just simple thinking like that makes me realise how much better some people are at being Drag Race producers than the actual drag race producers. And just to clarify, Lawrence was my pick for winning.

I think it was due to Lawrence doing well before and after the 7 month break. Bimini was able to work during lockdown, Lawrence wasn't as Scotland had harsher restrictions. Lawrence did lip sync once and place low once after the break but she did win with the group and place high in the two before the finale, so she didn't do terribly. Bimini's runways before the break weren't amazing, so it's obvious she benefited from the break

yea, i'm with you on this one. I don't even think it's about the number of badges, rather than about the narrative itself. Lawrence started off being shown as this heartwarming, lightheaded and funny queen and soon she became a kind of a bitch, especially when it came down to her being anxious and how she would treat other people due to her own discomfort. I understand these are nuances that can be shown about anyone, and I can't think of a single season where they set up someone to be the winner as much as i felt them setting up my perfect bimini fantasy

Unpopular opinions? Ok, let's go: 1. Joe shouldn't have been in the bottom two in the 1st episode (not unpopular but still) and I think awhora should've been low, I thought her robin hood looked cheap (tia did it better) and her Vivienne Westwood, while creative, looked a lil sloppy. Also Lawrence could've won, but I'm not too mad about astina winning. 2. Ginny should have been high ep2, her dress revealing into the same dress was absolutely hilarious, and she did really well in the challenge, and cherry deserved bottom two. 3. Nothing much, apart from maybe astina deserving bottom two. 4. Ginny didn't deserve bottom two over veronica, her runway was good but I just think her performance was just THAT shit that she was sent straight to bottom two. 5.(last one) if tia coffee is in the bottom two, then joe black shouldn't be, and vice versa. If they place more emphasis on the challenge than the runway, then joe is in the bottom, but tia did the best out of the group, so it should've been ellie or sister. If the runways count for about equal as the challenge, then tia sould be in the bottom, but joe shouldn't, since he had one of the best runways of the whole SEASON. I.... I just don't understand why they put the two people who did the best in one aspect of the challenge, over two who did mediocre. (I think it should've been ellie and joe in the bottom, I hated ellie's fuckin runway and she was aggressively bleh in the challenge. Also, people are way too harsh on joe, her verse was quite fun and campy, and tbh I dont know why people thought that dress was an affront to nature, its ugly, but like..... that wasnt the challenge?)

Not sure how unpopular but I think both of Lawrence’s wins episode 3 and 4 should have gone to A’whora and/or Bimini. Also Ellie diamond shouldn’t have been high episode 1 or 2. Episode 1 she did well but tayce’s dragon look was brilliant and should have got her in the top and episode 2 she did ~fine~ in the rusical but those wizard of oz runways were not it. ‘United kingdolls should have been top four’. Unpopular opinion: Given the nature of the price in DRUK, I believe the queens who will be clear winners are those who will be able to host a show. Bimini is a great queen: professional, charismatic, smart and well spoken, and funny on her own sense (plus one of the most unique storylines in the franchise) but Lawrence’s natural charisma and sense of humor granted her the win.

I think DRUK season two was hands down the best season. Everyone was hilarious, their personalities bounced off one another so effortlessly, and the confessionals were the best in the series. I think that the only queen you could argue got any favoritism was Tayce, but that's because they saved her so she could lip sync against A'Whora. Seeing as they are friends and roomates... and apparently they had hooked up once so it was another Branjie moment. Had Veronica not tested positive I think Tayce and Ellie would've been sent home sooner, but that's just speculation on my part. But I'm glad Veronica is being brought back for season 3. I feel so bad she had to be disqualified because of coronavirus. It was bound to happen, but it's still disappointing. I'm not upset at the outcome. Laurence and Bimini both deserved it, I had a feeling Laurence was going to win... but when Bimini came up from behind and started winning after almost being first out she became my dark horse. I had fun this season.

Tia and Bimini were my favourites. Tacye really grew on me as the season went on. I'm sad Bimini didn't win as she had one of the best storylines, was consistently kind and was just phenomenal but congratulations to Lawrence who was not undeserving of the win and has charisma for days. This was such a good season.

I would've been happy with anyone winning honestly, it's been such a great season. Someone on instagram pointed out that Bimini massively benefitted from the break of 7 months, only winning challenges after that. Lawrence who was in Scotland was under harsher restrictions than the queens in England, who were also able to work and make more money for better looks. Now I know that the look isnt everything but we don't know what Bimini's look would have been like without the break, cause we do know her looks in the first few episodes weren't amazing. Lawrence did very well throughout the whole competition, before and after the break. Yes she didn't do AS WELL in the last few episodes but she did place high in the last two before the finale. I think this contributed to her winning cause she was the most consistent

This is why the franchise is popular. Seasons like this. Seasons that feel genuine and not, for lack of better words, (shoved down my throat of you love this right. You love this. Is the producers are so in tune with the audience you love this.) ^idk if that makes sense. This cast was amazing. This felt fun and just a celebration of drag. Some of the more recent seasons of USA drag race (maybe even all stars included). Has felt more like a slog to get through. (THIS IS NOT SENDING HATE TO ANY QUEEN THAT COMPETES. DONT START THAT SHIT) I watch every season because I love the show and I love the talent that comes through. Just simplify it alittle.

My unpopular opinions: Lyric-wise, the Bananadrama Performance was better than the United Kindolls. AssTina should've been at least in the bottom 3 for the Rats Rusical. Rupaul coming for Joe Black's outfit was hypocritical. Cherry was the one that should've came back for the Ruruvison episode. A'whora vs Tayce should've been the double Shantay of the season. Ginny should be in the top three for Rats The Rusical instead of Ellie. There was no sexual tension between Tayce and Awhora. The special effects saved Sister Sister's Snatch Game performance. Alongside Gays Anatomy, The Eastender challenge is the best acting challenge in drag race hertory . UK season 2 is better than the last 5 seasons of Drag Race U.S. Cherry Valentine shouldn't be in the bottom two in ep. 2. Cherry was underrated. United Kindolls are more iconic than the Frock Destroyers. There were no actual villains on the season. Tia Kofi won the first mini challenge. Bimini/Lawrence won the reading challenge. Tia Kofi' s green look was better than Verinica's. Ellie D. Should've been in the bottom two for the Snatch Game and the Stand Up comedy Show .

Please make a video on the mistreatment and riggery of awhoras elimination. (Awhora told a channel she was on that they asked who should go home and everyone said Ellie except Ellie, who said awhora. They obviously put tayce in the bottom to send home awhora and for the storyline.) (Also Cherry did quite well in the rusical if you go back and watch and she did the best out of her group and I thought that was a bit weird why she was in the bottom and even though her runway wasn't the best, but Sister and Laurence had bad runways and didn't do as good with Cherry.) I obviously don't care too much about it since its just a show but it would be cool to see a video about it.

I think that a lot of people agree with me for the first challenge she should not have been in the bottom because the judges just lost their brains there, but I haven't seen anyone talk about her elimination in the Ruruvision episode. Sure, she wore an H&M dress but her verse was fun and her runway look was the best one of all of them, so I think Sister Sister should have been in the bottom 2

I love Lawrence and she'd be a deserving winner on any other season but not on a season with Bimini. The only thing Lawrence does better than Bimini is sew. Bimini was a better stand up, snatch game player, musical performer and mostly on par with her as an actress. I can't think of a single reason Lawrence deserved to beat Bimini.

During the Morning Glory episode's Untucked, I found A'Whora's comment uplifting but Veronica was feeling attacked just because she mentioned lipsynching *Lawrence was heavily helped in the first half of the season and then she got to the finale playing it safe *Tayce should have been high in the stand-up comedy challenge *Ellie wore it better than Lawrence *A'Whora should have won the Who Wore it Better? and the Morning Glory episodes *A'Whora wasn't the villain of the season, it was Lawrence *Asttina should have returned, not Joe And lastly... *I liked Bimini's lockdown supershero (I know, this is the most questionable)

Tonight I've honestly seen some of the worst of the Drag race community on twitter. So many hateful comments towards Lawrence as if everyone forgot they drove him off twitter once already due to hate. Why cant we just celebrate a queens win instead of invalidating it and shouting abuse at them? Let's all remember these are real people! We can call it producer input or just judges' opinions, but Tayce was completely overlooked this whole series. Michelle's comments about her 'diction' not being clear in the rusical were completely unfounded (much like her trying to say Tayce sounded Australian in the Beastenders challenge). Also, based on their own critiques, Tayce shouldn't have been in the bottom for the stand up challenge. What it felt like for most of the series was that the judges (Ru and Michelle) fundamentally didn't understand her being Welsh. (Still, great series, great queens, one of the best in forever. Just love Tayce too much for words x)

So none of my friends watch drag race so here's my opinion on the whole season you don't have to read lol Awhora should have been in the top 3 or 4 but she was sent home for saying gaping assholes in a show where makes fists jokes everytime she enters the werk room. In that episode ellie could have gone home based on critiques and overall track records, it was her or tayce but I think tayce was more present in the season overall. Ellie is still a star, very more talented than me being one year older than her and not capable of doing anything she could. Lawrence just won cause the prize is a series with wow so they chose her over bimini cause they think it would be more fun maybe. Bimini won our ❤️
