Yes, Ru has seen that death drop (it was not a split) a million times, but Shangela's overall performance combined actual dance skills, a flair for the theatrical, and gusto. Meanwhile, Thorgy simply played the violin adequately. This is a drag queen competition. You have to have the complete package, and that includes a larger than life personality. Thorgy has the personality of balsa wood.

It's bc for so long African-Americans didn't know their ancestry (which sucks) due to centuries of anglicized culture-erasure. So black people might see anything from Africa, and identify with it as a whole. It's a way for them to cling to some remnants of their identity. Nowadays, DNA tests show most slaves who came to the US are of West African and Sub-Saharan descent. But that doesn't stop African-American descendants from still clinging to the entire continent, including Egypt for some reason. Maybe it's just a force of habit. But so long as people from various countries in Africa can educate the masses about their various cultures, the better we can all see them as individual and separate from one another. It's always been interesting to learn about the colorful customs of each one.

These judges get on my nerves. Every time someone does an act that displays their culture, they act totally underwhelmed and make this face like its stupid. But then they act all amazed when someone does an ACTUAL underwhelming performance.

Seriously like how many times do they see a split and a sparkly outfit. In my opinion those dances look quite recycled. And musical numbers that involve talent are better like trixie, thorgy etc

I read somewhere that everyone actually got to film twice. (Manila and Gia only filmed once because they both nailed it on the first try) Farrah didn't fall in take two but because she was in the bottom they eventually used the first take in which she fell.

@Renee Smith yep i was so shocked how the other judges are like 😑 gia might not have a good personality but that talent is sooo good and elegant . Kabuki theatre takes a lot of practice to do and for gia to just get a poker face just because her talent isn’t lip syncing or dancing with so much energy like others is kinda disrespectful. I believe she could be at the top
