This was radio hit during our Honeymoon in 1979. We were in Destin Florida so of course we had Pina Coladas. Every time we’d hear it years later we were right back on our Honeymoon. Lost my wife to cancer last July. Now when I hear this I just cry.

While we all love the chorus and it’s one of the most memorable. We don’t give enough credit to the verses about them both being jaded and looking to have an affair; but they are able to laugh it off and reconnect. True love.
