Danny you touch my heart when you said that you didn’t drink for Good Friday .im Catholic and there’s something about Good Friday that touches a lot of Christian and non-Christian you could feel the difference in that day. The quietness for us we fast don’t eat any meat only fish some people does the complete fast .

Hate to be negative but when you went to Guyana tourism booth, you would’ve thought they would’ve stepped up and say something about tourism instead of watching around looking all lost. How are we going to get people to come to Guyana. Are they not workers of tourism ? Do they not get paid. Come on man these employees need to show a little more enthusiasm in what they are doing. Atleast say “Visit Guyana “ or something. People just like to collect the pay. Otherwise great video.

They were shy I guess. I try talking with the guy but he refer me to the girl but she was eating so I talk with her off camera to find out their functions which I shared in the video.

That assumption is made based on lack of appreciation and understanding of culture other than the coastal areas. Folks here are generally very shy and reserved but have to start exposure somewhere. The organizers gave them the opportunity to build confidence. Get to know us more and you will find some of the warmest and friendliest people!

I fail to understand why accomodations in the remote areas is super expensive and even domestic grown food is selling super high prices.. is normal guyanse salary is based on the ridiculous prices ..

@@banikevin the cost of production for domestic products is also expensive, for example, persons bring feed all the way from Georgetown. Extra effort to grow crops during drought etc. In terms of accommodation, Rodeo is the main economic opportunity event for the region. It's a matter of demand and supply. Price is affected with these two forces. That being said, there are also cheaper options for food, accommodation, tours etc. You can contact me for assistance and contact hotels several months in advance for the accommodation to get good prices.
