Amazing video! I was born and raised in Boa Vista, Brazil which is less than 2h away from Lethem by car (I’ve been there many times) and the region I’m from shares the Rupununi savanna with Guyana! It’s a truly unique part of the world, and many South Americans don’t even know it. I live in the United States now, but I still miss how beautiful our savannas are. Thank you for sharing these images of the Rupununi to the world and a salute to our Guyanese friends!

Hi Alex, GREAT job, as you also have a very genuine, down-to-earth way about you, which I think the locals quickly picked up on (the end shot of the locals and you having a good laugh is a good indicator) with you. Anyway, I work for a WTE company, and we're going to be part of a sizable industrial project in the Berbice River region of Guyana, and of course I want to watch various videos of people--especially foreigners like myself--to take in the local Guyanese culture. And while I'm not the biggest fan of humidity (understatement lol), I figure the fact that the country is LOADED with nature, bodies of water to enjoy, and just plenty of outdoor pursuits to be had, that I believe I will thoroughly enjoy my time there (new facility, so lots of mandatory business time), by getting out and enjoying Guyana's countryside. Much thanks, Brit ;)

@@AlexOuthwaite Don't worry, this isn't an ongoing Q&A, but curious if your being in Guyana felt like you were in and/or surrounded by a frontier-type of environment? I ask because despite Georgetown, when my being can sense I'm surrounded by nature, a soothing feeling comes over my body, and the stress seems to just melt away. Obviously hoping I experience that similar feeling as I know I'll be spending LOTS of time in that country.
