"I can not figure out what Swedish culture is. I think that's what makes many Swedes jealous of immigrant groups. You have a culture, an identity, a history, something that brings you together. And what do we have? We have Midsummer's Eve and such silly things." -- Mona Sahlin, leader of the Swedish Social Democrats 2007 - 2011

Some more quotes by Mona Sahlin: - "The Swedes must be integrated into the new Sweden , the old Sweden will not return." - "But that has nothing to do with ethnicity. Who's by the way Swedish and who's an immigrant? " - "If two equally qualified persons apply for a job at a workplace with few immigrants, the one called Mohammed should get the job." - "The white majority is the problem."

What a fun video! Thanks for uploading it! My mom was born in 1927 and was in a group with other kids/young teens who went around the country performing Swedish folk dances. I keep wondering if one of the girls in the shot of them walking out to perform is her. I don't think anyone in the 20th century wore their costumes on a daily basis...only for festivals, according to what my mom said....

@Madison Brickwood Eh, Sweden has one of the highest birthrates in Europe, and it's not due to immigration. If it was due to immigration, then countries like Germany would've also been high, which they are not. For anyone who knows anything about the cultural history of Sweden this appears incredibly engineered and contrived. Made in order to attract tourism, probably. "Swedish homes are famous for their comfort, cleanliness and beauty." Yeah, right. This was about the same time that Lubbe Nordström published his famous book "Lort-Sverige" (Dirty Sweden), where he showed how poor, cramped and unhygienic living conditions were throughout rural Sweden.
