Roaring River State Park

My stars and Mars. My family used to visit roaring river state park when we were little kids. Every summer we came and camped. We didn't fish but us kids swam in the river. I remember the whistle for the fishermen/women to start and when they had to stop. The area was always full of campfire smoke. I loved it especially the frogs croaking and birds singing. We came from the Cassville area and down into the park. Oh what memories I have. The last time I visited roaring river was in 2011. I came with my brother, nieces and nephew. The area was changed so much it was sad to see. The river was only a small area near the fish hatchery. The spring area was still ok but with stairs to the top. Some guy kept saying he was going to jump in and swim around but my brother and I stopped him. How long ago was this video filmed? As it looked like it did when we visited back in the 1950s-1960s. I saw another video that a guy took that showed Cassville flooded in June of this year (2019).Thank you for the memories as they were happy times for my family and I. Just my brother and I are left of the original family. God bless.
