The theory that the divine towers might be whats supporting the veil over the land of shadow is pretty tight. If you look at the map it makes perfect sense... It's directly in the shadow of the Erdtree and the space would accommodate Limgrave (expansion size) nicely. Anyone else heard this or have any input? Think it was Ratatoskr heard it from.

27:20 This pretty clearly looks like a great rune. Maybe it's related to the destined death rune Marika hid away, or possibly it's something related to Messmer or Miquella. 48:54 Probably unrelated, but Millicent had a sister named Amy who dual wielded curved swords. Could have been who the fighter in red was in that field. Although I believe she's also present at the end of the Millicent story, and you possibly kill her. So I'm not sure how that could work story wise if the Shadow realm isn't in the past.. Just a thought.

I think being hidden allows one to escape the gaze of outer gods which is why we can use Miquella's needle at the dragonlord's arena, which is beyond time to tame the frenzied flame. So if you consider the sun to be the eye of the Greater Will then perhaps the solar eclipse would allow Miquella to cure all the curses as they are all a product of the Greater Will's mistake according to Hyetta/Three Fingers. Similarly, Marika veiled this part of the Lands Between to hide it from the influence of something, creating the Land of Shadow.

Miyzaki often uses dream , painted , past Worlds as DLC or Main story for his games so i asumme this'll be a Sort of dream /past adventure , also the entrance could involve touch Miquella's hand or something like that...

Okay so as far as the location of the land of shadow, ratatosker and vaati are both theorizing that the land of shadow is the area in the middle of the map that is just water And at one point the erdtree was actually a great tree. It also was an actual tree at one point rather than an illusion before it was burned the first time. Therefore, the middle of the map there could be where the shadow of the tree was cast. So it's been there the whole time but Marika has it hidden with her illusion magic. Sounds pretty wild but it's interesting to speculate about. Especially when Miyazaki said in an interview that it was physically removed lfrom the land. I always thought crumbling farum azula was sat there on the right of the map In between caelid and lendyll where the isolated divine tower sits. So it would be crazy to think that the land of shadow was right next to it in the middle the whole time. Obviously this could easily be completely wrong but like I said, I think it's fun and interesting to speculate.

About the Dark Souls 2 fist weapon, it's called the Bone Fist and is in the Frozen DLC. I always loved that weapon and when you had two of them and you power stance them it would give you special attack that was 100% a Hadouken from Ryu in Street Fighter.

"I'm going to need it later so I'm never going to use it" HAHAHAHA I have literally the same exact play style and mindset (not weapon choices but literally EVERYTHING ELSE) as Rurikhan and this just cracked me so hard, FINALLY someone understands and puts into words why I never use my craft items unless the ingredients are reproducible (like rowa fruits)

you showed the veils in marikas chamber, notice that there are 6 veils. there are also six divine towers

As for the size of the map, I would image, if they are really stacked, will have the base area same as Limgrave, but with multiple layers stacked on each other like onion, so the total playable area with be much larger, might be even 1/3 or half of based game area.

Your theory on miquella manipulating mohg to kidnap the cocoon would make sense. Most of his dialogue hints to him being engrossed in this love/right to Have miquella to himself

"To shrive clean the hearts of men" in this case means to absolve them of previous sins, allegiances and anything that defined the previously "unshriven" in any way. It refers to Miquella giving those whom choose to align with him a blank slate. And is backed up by all the marginalized groups converging on the Haligtree. They feel as though he can absolve them of their past existence being offensive to the world order by default. He doesn't obviously discriminate. Also, in Dark Souls one would remove the elemental affinities of a weapon by using a Shriving stone. This would revert the weapon to it's default state, thereby "purifying" it of external influence. Well, that makes the chosen word very fitting, as Miquella's whole heroic theme is based on Purity. He represents the potential deriving from a nascent state of being. The proccess of change rather than the result. And the terrifying part of it is presumedly innocuous, as this potential has a natural pull so intense that the will of other's conforms to his nature, and has a stronger effect on those who seek this ideal he represents. Change can be cathartic. Or terrible. In some instances constant change leads to absolutely no result. It's a state of constant prospecting and dreaming. Which might relate to the aspect of St. Trina. So the only question is how is Miyazaki going to perform a Griffith on us. I've decided to keep my hopes up. Even if he might just be a torch that draws moths to the flame...

I believe there will be some kind of extended story related cutscene (when touching withered arm) involving the parting of water (sea to the south) to reveal the "Shadow" realm location. If you notice the first scene where the Tarnished first enter area on top of Torrent, you notice wet ground that Torrent runs on. Also, many camera angles appear to give the feeling of looking "upwards" at Erdtree. The many island type land structures also appear to be shaped as if underwater previous and surroundings seem like lands are just in a bowl type area. Just thoughts.

Notice how the people making the best games of the last 20 years have not pushed the need for a higher presence of diverse/female/queer voices, and just focus on making good games and letting the art speak for itself. Fromsoft refuses to try and fix a system that is not broken.

Okay people are saying that Miyazaki said the dlc is larger than Limgrave. But to me reading the last sentence at 24:15, it seems like he is stating there are multiple fields in the dlc all larger and more diverse than Limgrave in this context. That's what it seems like to me from that sentence, Am I crazy or do other people read it that way too?

the land of dlc has a veil created so that no one can see this land. It was placed for some reason. In the images you can see the veil in the sky

i like that theory that Mohg was in the land of shadow with Miquella! the lore and speculation around it is my favorite thing about these games and with elden ring in particular. i also wonder how much it cost them to buy the elden ring ip from Bamco? must have been a pretty few pennies i imagine lol

Already done, with investment from Tencent and Sony. That is why Tencent managed to have license to try making the mobile game. There was a rumor that Bandai wouldn’t publish this DLC, but I guess the contract for this DLC already done before the deal.

My only timing concern with this game is Dawntrail...DT is set to release in "summer" and mid/ late June is pretty common release winder for ff14

Thats sad i wish we had another ending. The one were we end the gods. The gladiators have something to do with thos guys. About the culture the omen thing was considered a blessing adn then in the age of the golden order became a cursed thing.

Sadly after watching vaatividya's vid on the dlc, I've lost interest. Changing the core mechanics of the game from runes/souls back to sekiro type of finding power up items ruins the dlc for me. If I wanted sekiro style gameplay i'd play it. After hearing the way you described the sekiro change i much more understand. But still am not of fan of changing core mechanics . I prefer the experience grind to much.
