@@italianspartacus is there anyway to see once you've reached the max 250gold per tick threshold? I guess at that point there's no need to build more hunting cabins unless for berries or food etc. But how do you know once you've reached the 250gold mark?

Thanks for the video ! As a Rus player, I wanted to point out that you missed out on talking about another great strength of the Rus, their Springalds ! They get the normal siege workshop upgrade, plus the high armory’s upgrade which increases their range ! I think they get 13.5 range which is actually insane and let’s you pick off enemy siege from crazy far distances, plus they melt through/ pick off infantry with great poke damage Definitely should not be slept on ! Again, thanks for the video !

I find myself struggling for wood during the game. It seems they’re very hungry for wood. Do you have any tips?

@@johngartin3118 as someone who is also working on getting a good balance of eco and learning from myself what I could do better each game, my own strategy is in age 2 and 3 I have my original TC queued to send people to my Wood production, always, and then as I get Wood I’ll take vills from the Wood and send them to build things and using the Shift key I queue them up to end up back on the resource production line somewhere, usually by having them make a farm or get on a gold . My second TC I drop on a gold vein so I always have a steady boom of gold especially with market traders and hunting cabins . If I’m behind on a resource I try to have both my 2 TC’s sending vills to the resource I need. Also always get the golden gate, kremlin isnt actually worth it when you can just make a wall and a fortress or two

To slightly expand upon another aspect that is super great about the golden gate over the kremlin, you don’t need to focus on getting stone at all for your second TC, I just buy 2 stone to get 300 and then put vils on stone later when I have a few to spare. Be aware you can’t do this immediately because the landmark needs another minute to get supply

@@johngartin3118 of course, don't forget to plop down wooden fortress on your lumber camps as well! Since your hunting camps are generating gold when properly situated, you can send less workers to gold mines and more to lumber camps.

I recommend springalds for the Streltsy combo. They take care of any Magonels looking to wipe your Streltsy.

Lovely guide. About golden gate, its really cool that it gives you a fast 2 tc opener if you are in a team game or against china. After going feudal fast, you assign some food villagers into wood and accumulate 400 wood in 2 minutes, then instantly buy 300 stone thanks to golden gate.

I believe you missed the second of two upgrades for the Lodya Attack Ships, which is more important than the first. Definitely think you're undervaluing Trinity. The tile range increase & the impact it has on Streltsy, plus being able to get relic resources generation sooner + plus denying those resources from your opponent, I personally find provides higher value. Can always spam cabins

Loving this series. Fun fact, I'm pretty sure the Trader unit also counts as cavalry, and therefore gets extra hit points from the unique technology! Edit: Also, all keeps can get both springalds and cannons, not just those of the Rus.

Looks like the tooltip about the 30% reload bonus for streltsy is wrong. The reload time was reduced from 2.0 to 1.9, 1.8 and 1.7. Thats basically 15% reload time reduction (5% for every 5 seconds)

i guess 2s/attk combines shooting 1s and reloading 1s, and reload bonus does not affect shooting speed.

@@zhaoqijie Yeah. I suspected this too. AoE4 uses Relic's Essence engine, so it would make sense, that it inherited some of its quirks. In the old Relic games the firing cycle would look like this: Wind up > Aim time > Fire > Wind down > Cooldown/Reload. So, as you said, the reload time reduction would indeed only reduce the idle time between firing animations.

Just for us to keep in mind that no one matches the unbalanced French anyway, they are too op.. With french in they games there is no other S tier, so Rus, even as a very good civ, is only A.

I'm trying to complete the task that requires killing 30 units with sacred blessing but it doesn't seem to be activating when I charge my warrior monks in. I took out a whole civilization with just warrior monks to try and get it to activate and nothing happened. Is their a special way to activate it?

It's very easy to get it in the campaign. Battle of battle of kulivolo. You are given huge armies - 100+ infantry and about 10 warrior monks so just get it then if you have not already. It activates passively when the warrior monks attack - you will see who is getting buffed because they will start to glow yellow.

Rus atm is around tier A- , they see mediocre play in tournament due to French is just superior Rus( easier to play, stronger early game and better in water map).They also suffer from early aggression, suck at water mixed map and having intensive micro and high skills ceiling Also the mangudai is not a strong units, they shoot fast but their damage is very poor, only 7 damage vs 12 damage by Horse archers, they also don't cost gold .Mangudai in cost efficient lost to most achers Now to the video build: The landmark choice in this video is basically Awful , the best are as following: Golden age, Abe of Trinity and High armory - The golden age is THE BEST landmark period, the Kremli in practice sucks alot. You don't realize how Golden gate literally allow you to go 2nd TC for "free", allows you go to age 3 much quicker while spaming military, allow you trade resources AT VERY favourable rate , 100 gold for 150 of everything - Abe of trinity is NUTs for age 3, the Speed allow you to pick relic way way faster than opp/ 50% cost reduction, only 100g, getting access to unique upgrade. High health meaning they can tank much more, Wololo easier, while buffing 2(3with upgrade)attack and 1 armor when they land attack +The High house is Awful landmark, it generate 1 deer/minute WHICH MEAN NOTHING, the gold buff later DOESN'T MATTER due to the cap lock 250 gold, also at that point spaming multiple cabin is way better than this landmark. This does not mention 250 gold bounty is very easy to get, the 500 gold literally just spam 1-2 knights to kill boars and you got it in no time making the high trade house the worst landmark period - The last is High armory which extend springal to 13,5 titles, making this landmark mandatory Period

As a Rus player who would always try to hyper aggressively use my kremlin (and got burned a few times), I have since been converted to the Golden Gate 100% of the time because the resource flexibility in getting this landmark is undeniable. If I don’t have enough stone or wood for a second TC , 2 stone buys gives you enough stone for a TC . If you have too much of any one resource it simply always gives you good trades to balance your economy when you need it. Also the kremlin does as much damage as a simple wooden fortress, and I think the difference in having to use wood and stone for defense is better than using food and gold for defense, if that makes sense . Just spewin’ thoughts 🤙
