Of course the terrorists have nothing to do with ISIS and this is why. 1. They committed their terrorist attack for money. 2. They attempted to flee instead of dying "heroically". 3. The swiftness with which the State Department spokesman spoke up to divert suspicion from Ukraine. Now look at the context and the timing. Only a few days prior, the Russian people showed a record level of unity in the presidential election with a record 87% vote in favour of the president in office. Over the last weeks many SMO observers have been assessing the situation on the fronts as precursory to a full-fledged Russian offensive, and the situation of the combined NATO-Ukrainian forces as dire to say the least. Some observers have reported missile and drone strikes that took out dozens of key NATO supplied equipment, a large number of foreign mercenaries and staff on the ground, including valuable SOF and instructors. The Russians remain unimpressed by the prospect of facing off NATO troops on the battlefield. Piotr Tolstoi summed it up calmly saying to a French reporter, "On va tuer tous les soldats français qui vont venir sur le sol ucrainien". We are in a situation very similar to the one we were in the years 1999 to 2004 when a new leader came and Russia's political trajectory changed drastically, and not in favor of those who thought they'd live off plundering the country for decades to come.
