Ukraine will lose this war because they refuse to acknowledge when they are in a disadvantageous position. Holding onto Bakhmut when it was obvious that the battle was a lost cause, holding onto krynky, the whole Kursk pr stunt and now allowing themselves to be encircled. In 2022 Russia did not hesitate to withdraw from indefensible positions and that enabled them to avoid unnecessary casualties and stay in the fight.
