Katamari is probably the root of a lot of my personality. When the game series came out in 2004, I was still very young (9, in fact), so I was still at an impressionable age. It had a huge impact on me and is probably the reason I like a lot of the things I'm into now!

At the time, the circle of people I was in were all about excessive drinking, doing drugs, hooking up with 20 year old guys etc, while I was this artist/gamer/writer who was just pretending to be tough shit like them. It sounds stupid, but while I was playing We Love Katamari I realized that if I kept hanging out with these people I would eventually become like that myself, and I didn't want to.. so I stopped caring about trying to seem cool, and became friends with people who had similar interests as me. Sorry for the essay lol :D

this song never fails to lift my spirits. I love the level with the cloudy sky it plays in and you're just rolling up the clouds and making the day sunny and cheery.

I love the snow levels in this game. It's fun to just role in a circle and get bigger just by rolling up the snow. Like the fire katamari level, this level had such a fun goal which was to create the biggest snowman. You had unlimited time and whenever you were bored or done, you could go to the snowman. This level although was kind of small, it was really fun to just roll around and listen to music.
