Just happened by your video and just wanted to say, it brought back so many memories for me. Pre-show party and anticipation of seeing the greatest band in the world. I was fortunate enough to see them 4 times since the 80's. Don't have to tell you, it is an unforgettable experience. We miss them dearly but like 'The Professor' wrote, 'We are only immortal for a limited time'. Nobody plays like RUSH... nobody. 🎶🎸🎸🥁🎵

I live in Denver and had the opportunity to see this concert for FREE through my job, but I passed it up for a reason I don't even remember. Since then I have become a huge Rush fan and it sickens me that I passed up this concert. I never did see them live, but I've seen all their concert videos many times.

Don't worry...you didn't miss much. All you need to do really to replicate the Rush concert experience is shuffle a Rush playlist and turn it up loud since Rush played 90% of their songs note for note as they appear on their albums.

I saw Rush twice at Fiddler's Green and always wondered if they would ever play Red Rocks. Well... wow, they did. The first time was after a long day of rain in Denver. The forecast didn't look good. The rain broke when the show started, and that was nice. I remember specifically that during 2112 there was lightning pounding the ground miles away in the background over the plains, almost choreographed with the song. The crowd was cheering with each bolt of lightning, and the guys in Rush were probably wondering why. lol It was pure natural magic.

Definitely a killer venue. I used to live in Southern California and when I saw the video of Sunday Bloody Sunday as a kid I told myself I would see a concert there one day. I Moved to western Colorado in 2005. I went to Red Rocks in 2010 for the 30th anniversary of British Steel. Well worth it. I saw the schedule for this season and didn’t recognize anyone 😢

I've been at some 7 or 8 shows in Holland, Amsterdam and mostly Rotterdam. Both 8000+ venues. Never seen less than 20% of women at those shows. Plenty of female Rush fans in the "old world", I suppose 🤣

I'm going to be 66, I've been into rock and roll my whole life, seen all of the great bands (at least the ones, I thought were great, lol), in a lot of different venues. World Series of Rock, at various baseball stadiums, Super Bowl of Rock, at NFL stadiums, elaborate stage shows, even saw Foghat play, from a small boat in a river. But I can't say, that there was ever a show that I said, the venue, actually was part of the experience! I'm not much of a bucket list guy, but I may make an exception, for this venue! Not even sure, who I saw would matter.

I know that place like the back of my hand. Spent many a day skipping school And climbing and drinking beer and smoking weed at red rocks. I was actually up there with a keg on March 13 1989 the day my first kid was born. I showed up at home around. 4 PM with about 25 of my closest friends in tow along with the keg and my wife was loading up in the van with her parents to go to the hospital. I did ditch the party and go to the hospital to be there when she was born. Lol

The one of 2 places we didnt get to see them aside from not getting to the Gorge either. We did get to Sars, a few openers, closers and the HOF induction ceremony and 8 shows on the R40 including Tulsa opener, Lincoln, Columbus, Philly, Newark, NY MSG, KC and the LA Forum for the last show. We still hope to get to Red Rocks.

Similar feelings from a fellow UK fan: my Rush baptism came as a 10 year old when my brother bought me Farewell to King's. This venue sounds & looks incredible, we are limited in the UK for such venues & the corporate creaming of inflated concert prices by every Tom, Dick & Harriet would set the costs into atmospheric levels. I can definitely say after watching various recordings at thus venue "RED ROCKS ROCK"....... bucket list any one?

Yep...I live in Denver. Been here 30 years. Everything within 10 miles of downtown had turned into a polluted shithole. Trash, druggies, crime, sketchy people that life has chewed up and spat out everywhere you look. It's sad.

I still have my UNUSED $300 brokered seventh row ticket right in front of Alex for the 2008 show they postponed because of the tornado watch which was a big mistake… They had a hair trigger because of the recent F5 up by Greeley and called the show around 10:30 in the morning if I recall correctly and by noon it was a beautiful sunny day and all of the tornado warnings and even rain and thunder shower forecast were revoked but I couldn’t make the rescheduled show. My only consolation is that I did go to 27 other shows on that tour!!

This concert was supposed to be in June and I had tickets. I was living in Evergreen at the time and was super excited about seeing Rush for the first time as a fan since the late 70’s. But for the first time I ever heard of at Red Rocks the concert was cancelled due to thunderstorms. I traveled for work in those days so I assumed I wouldn’t get another chance and took a ticket refund. Still regret it.

Am I the only one surprised to see any females in the audience? They must have been the wives of the stage crew or something. 99.9% of women don’t listen to Rush. You can’t dance to Rush music. There’s nothing sexy about Rush music. There’s nothing sexy about the band members either. They appeal to pimple faced adolescent boys from the suburbs who like technical rock music. Rush is, or was, a great band, but they never really appealed to women. Their concerts are as much of a sausage party as Slayer. I never thought I’d be comparing those two bands in any similar way, but they do share that undeniable characteristic. Both bands were great back in the 80s, but not after. Glad I was there to catch them both at their best!! And yes, this is an awesome concert venue. My first show at Red Rocks was seeing the Allman Brothers Band on the 4th of July, 1992. Great show!! So lucky to have been there.

I've owned a few DVDs of Red Rocks concerts. The audio always sounds dry as hell. I will never get to Red Rocks but my suspicion is the acoustics suck.

I went to HS in Lakewood, just a few miles from RRs. I spent more time there instead of class. The opening scene road I wiped out on a skateboard and before the 80s, the park had no gates after hours. We would steal big wheels and race them down this very road and then go party on the stage at the amphitheater.
